It's almost lunch time. Almost an hour have passed and you just spent it listening to Jimin and his grandmother catch up as you three sat on the living room couch. They look so happy talking and sharing things with each other, which made you smile the whole time as you stare at them with awe. Jimin's grandmother is so sweet and very welcoming. You never felt left out since they always try to include you in the conversation.
His grandmother even shared some childhood memories of Jimin. Most are embarrassing things he did as a kid. Those made you laugh but Jimin is not very thrilled which made you and his grandmother laugh even more. He looks so cute trying to hide his embarrassment especially when the old lady started showing you some of his pictures as a kid.
It also turns out that his grandmother is the only one living in this house since her two sons already have their own family. But there's still someone who checks on her and sometimes stays here, a servant Jimin's father hired who's more like a family to the old lady.
You learnt that Jimin grew up in this house. His parents used to drop him off here when he was younger and they will comeback for him after a few days just to drop him off again the next day. He basically lived here.
After he was about 10 years old. He somehow persuaded his parents to let him stay here for good. He had a mind of his own already and he likes it there more than at his parents house so his parents agreed since that time they were too busy to even care.
You assumed that his parents has been running the family business since Jimin was still a kid.
Jimin stayed on his grandmother's place for a few years with his parents only visiting him once or twice a month. There are times that they don't even visit and Jimin just get used to them not being around and only his grandmother by his side. But even if he only had her, he didn't feel unloved at all. His grandmother gave him all he wants, the love, the affection, and care that he didn't felt from his own parents. She filled it up.
Her other son, which is Yeonjun's father also used to live here until he got married and his wife got pregnant with Yeonjun. They stayed there with Jimin and his grandmother so Yeonjun and Jimin are pretty close and spent some of their childhood together. Not until Yeonjun turned 5 and his parents moved to another house. But Jimin and his grandmother would still see them every once in a while.
When Jimin turned 16, his parents suddenly showed up at his grandmother's house and he was taken away. He was back at his father's mansion which is even bigger and more beautiful than the last time he was there few years ago. He was sad for a while leaving his grandmother behind but eventually got over it. His parents treated him nicely and used to spoiled him rotten. It made him happy thinking his parents are finally making up for their absence all those years, but it didn't last long.
Few months have passed and Jimin started to notice that his parents aren't that present anymore. He barely saw them in the mansion and whenever he asks for some attention, they would just say, 'not now' or 'we're busy.'
Jimin didn't really think any much of it since he understands that they were occupied with work. But soon he realized that after almost a year of living with them, he didn't really know what kind of work they have. His parents never talked about it and he never asked. But one thing he knows for sure is his parents probably have a high paying job since they are super rich and had all the luxury someone could have. They even have bodyguards and their house is very secluded.
His parents must be someone who work from the government, or maybe they work with high end people. That's what he assumed but he discovered he was all wrong once he turned 17.
