Jimin's POV

He stepped out of his car and stood in front of a tall metal gate. It's been a few years since he last stepped his foot there and it doesn't look that different from what he remembered.

He put his car keys on his pants pocket and walked to the side of the gate where the gate lock device is located.

This place is secured with top security. Only him, his parents, and a limited number of trusted people can go in which includes the bodyguards and some employees.

Jimin pressed a button on the rectangular metal device and stood there as it started scanning his face.

"Face Recognition Done."

"Gate Unlocked."

He heard the system say and the gate opened slowly on it's own revealing the big mansion behind it.

This is his home. Well, used to be. But he guess, now that he's back maybe he can call it his home again.

There are some bodyguards standing not too far from the gate wearing an all black suit. All of them have big bodies and a straight face. They're standing straight not moving an inch.

"Welcome back, Sir," he heard someone said and his gaze moved to the owner of the voice. It's a middle aged man walking towards him. Jimin quickly recognizes him to be the butler. This butler has been working for the family for years so Jimin knows him.

"Mrs. Park is expecting you, follow me this way Sir," the butler said as he led his way to the big front door.

Jimin didn't say a word and just followed the butler inside the mansion. It's very quiet inside. It's almost like no one is living there.

They reached the living room and he was greeted by the sight of a woman walking towards him from the stairs. The woman is wearing a very sparkly silver dress and heels. He knows that face very well.

Once the butler saw the woman, the butler quickly bowed and left leaving the two behind.

"Mother," Jimin said with a straight face as he stood in front of the woman.

"What's with that face? Aren't you happy so see me, Son?" His mother said.

Well, a typical mother and son will probably hug each other with smiles on their faces while jumping in excitement after a long time of not seeing each other but Jimin and his mother are different. He's not really that close to her since he grew up with her not being by his side that much and only his grandmother by his side. So, that explains why he's not really that excited to see his mother. They don't really have that very close relationship as a mother and son but that doesn't mean that he doesn't care or love her. He does. At the end of the day, she is still his mother.

"No, I'm just-" Jimin answered nervously but Mrs. Park interrupted him.

"Oh, Son, I am just joking," his mother laughed and Jimin just forced a smiled.

"Where's father?" Jimin asked.

"He's been busy at the company these days, since our company is getting bigger and bigger, he needs to be there most of the time," his mother explains and Jimin just nod his head.

"You must be tired, your father will be here before dinner, I already prepared your room, you should clean up and rest before then," his mother said and called some maid to accompany him to his room.

The maid led him to the stairs and Jimin followed her behind. He doesn't need her to show the way since he already know where is his room but he didn't said anything and just let the maid do what his mother said.

"I can handle it from here," Jimin said to the maid as they stopped in front of a room at the end of the hallway. The maid nodded and walked away leaving him behind.

He opened the door in front of him and looked around. The room is clean and it smells good. His parents didn't change anything in his room. It looks just the same as he remembered.

Jimin threw himself into the bed and stared at the ceiling.

Welcome home.

Jimin stepped out of the shower and dried his hair with the towel. He put a grey sweatpants on and a shirt he found on the cabinet. His old clothes are still there with a few new clothes his parents probably bought for him since he'll be staying here now.

Knock! Knock!

Suddenly he heard some knocks from the room door and asked who is it.

"Sir, your mother told me to call you for dinner," the person from the other side answered as Jimin walk towards the door to open it.

"Your father is also downstairs," the servant added once the door opened.

"Tell them I'm going down after a minute," Jimin said and the servant nodded and left.

Jimin walked back inside into the table on the bedside grabbing his phone before he left his room.

He walked down the stairs and went straight into the dining room.

As he get closer he can already hear his fathers voice.

"Where is he?" Mr. Park said.

Mrs. Park was about to answer him when she saw Jimin walking to the dining table. "Oh, he's here."

"Good evening, father," Jimin greeted his father.

"Sit down and eat with us," Mr. Park said with a delighted face gesturing to the seat on his left side while Mrs. Park sat on the right.

Jimin did what his father said and the three of them started eating their meal.

"So, your finally joining me in the company?" Mr. Park started the conversation.

Jimin quickly swallowed his food before answering his father. "Yes father, I thought about it and realized it was the right thing to do."

"Good," Mr. Park said satisfied. "I'll be retiring very soon, your mother said she already told you that."

"That is why I'm here now father, I'm gonna take over the business once you retired," Jimin answered making his father smile with more satisfaction.

"I thought you'd never come back after that little stunt you pulled a few years ago, running away without any word," his father said which made Jimin put down his spoon and fork and sighed.

"That was years ago father, I was just a kid who doesn't know what he was doing," Jimin explained. "Now that I'm older, I realized that it was a mistake, I shouldn't have done that."

"You made the right choice," Mrs. Park said and Mr. Park nodded in agreement.

"Yes, I'm glad you finally made up your mind," Mr. Park added.

"Of course."
