The next morning, Yoko woke up at almost 11 in the morning. The light coming from her window shone on her face, nearly blinding her causing her to blink a few times before she sat up and stretched with a yawn. Her clock had shown the time and she groaned inwardly, she had class at 1:00 in the afternoon and was glad for it. She managed to get a decent sleep for the first time in three weeks. She looked at her left hand to see it wrapped in bondage and remembered last night, she'd burnt it on accident while she was serving dinner for Faye.

Yoko had decided she had enough of resting and stood up from bed and out of the room, her hair a mess as she descended down the stairs to her kitchen, planning to make herself a quick breakfast and prepare for the rest of the day. At the foot of the stairs was Rufus waiting for his breakfast as well, wagging his tail at her and tongue out. Happy to see his owner finally awake. Yoko crouched down to give him his daily dosage of TLC before proceeding to the kitchen, ready to make herself food she saw a plate of toasted bread and a mug of coffee that was now lukewarm with a note underneath the mug.

Good morning, I made you breakfast before I left. I had work to do and I took Sunny with me. Thank you for keeping him safe yesterday, I forgive you for taking him away [smiley face drawn]. Thank you for hosting me last night. I hope you take care of your hand, I arranged a check up for you with Ice.

Faye.

Yoko smiled at the note and sat down to eat her breakfast. Her mind going back to last night, this time she remembered what happened in detail. How she cried and ended up hosting someone sleeping over. Her burnt hand, Faye moving around the kitchen like she lived with her, her gentle hands taking care of her injury. Faye setting up the table for her, the light conversation they had. Yoko felt more happy than guilty now. She'd repayed her debt and apologized now. It's a wonder how much a decent amount of sleep can affect a person.

The kiss.

Yoko stopped eating for a moment at the thought. Faye had kissed her on the forehead while she cried on her chest from the pain of the burn, she felt safe enough not to complain. Yoko realized she hadn't even noticed the kiss until this morning. Somehow she could feel the ghost of Faye's lips on her forehead, her hand going up to touch the specific area. Her face heating up at the memory. Rufus barked small beside her and Yoko looked at him. “Faye was such a caring person, wasn't she Rufus?”

The dog barked at her with eyes that screamed admiration. Yoko just giggled at the dog's look and fed him a piece of her toasted bread.

Yoko went back to thinking about Faye. The woman was intimidating for the first few moments they had met last night, she didn't even notice when Faye's personality switched to a caring and soft one but Yoko didn't even expect such intimacy between them. It was just a kiss on the forehead but strangers wouldn't do that unless they were close. Yoko went back to Marissa, it had taken three months before Marissa even got to hug her without Yoko pushing her away. But Faye managed to plant a kiss on her forehead in the span of hours.

“It was a spur of the moment.” Yoko tried to reason with it.

Before she got too into her thoughts, she decided to finally get ready for her day. She had class in three hours and it took an hour to commute to her university. She couldn't afford being late, not when she actually got to wake up with adequate rest.

At the Amor Salon, Faye was busy finishing up a client's hair. Her focus on the strands of hair between her fingers with a comb between her lips and a pair of scissors on the other hand, snipping away at the ends of the strand. After a few more alterations, Faye brushed off the hair residue and fluffed the hair up according to style and took off the cloth around the client.
