When people don't believe you, you start not saying anything questioning if anyone can ever listen to you
When people ask about what you're wearing it makes you think it's your fault and makes you question about your outfits
When people tell you that you probably gave them the wrong message it makes you start questioning how you act and talk
When people say it can't happen to you because you're a man makes men not talk about it and makes them feel like no one will ever believe and listen to them
People need to know that just because it's not on the news doesn't mean it didn't happen
People need to know this happens with some people that we think we can trust like family, teachers, anyone else that seems like it's impossible for them to do that
People need to know that it don't matter what clothes you wear, what vibe you give, or if you did say yes the last time
People need to know that no isn't always no it can be signs like being scared, being frozen, looking uncomfortable, being unsure and many more
People need to know it don't matter what gender you are everyone can have this happen to them
People need to know that the same gender can do it to someone it doesn't have to be the opposite gender
People won't ever understand what you had happen to you or they wont all believe you but that's ok because there will always be someone who will believe you and will listen to you so they can try and understand
People will be negative towards you for things you can't control which will make you hurt worse it will make you not ever wanting to say anything but out of all those people who don't listen there will be one or more people to listen and help you or do whatever you need
You are loved even if you don't think or feel like it I love you, I love you so much and care so much about you, im proud of how you still are here, I'm proud of you on how you are pushing through the hurt not falling for the voices telling you that you need to leave, I'm proud that even though you have been through traumatic things you still are breathing
I love you
This is by someone who has been SA, this is some stuff I've been told. The other stuff is myths I heard about it that makes me sad.
