THINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS WHAT THEY ARE MADE OUT TO BE. When my mom told me this was a "last-minute get-together" I did not realize she meant an engagement party.

The whole thing was blasted all over social media. Twitter's most popular headline was currently 'Young billionaire bachelor's engaged to be married.'
The feed post had two separate 'bachelor' eligible photos of us. I had flipped when I saw the media announce the arrangement.

But I couldn't help but give in. I had jumped into reading the first article I saw this morning. Being the most popular one on Twitter, from one of the biggest gossip blogs on every internet platform, 'Morning Glory.'

"Young billionaire bachelors engaged to be married - Families confirm'
***Recently, it has been released that Yeosang Kang, oldest son and future inheritant of the agency 'Kang Models' is engaged to rising fashion designer Wooyoung Jung who is set to have the entire company of Vista fashions passed down to him.
Both are up and rising. Young and have already made an impact on the queer community as...***

I stopped reading the article, going back to the black hole of Twitter comments. Despite hating the situation a few of them made me crack a smile.

'Why are the hot ones always gay?' complete with a crying emoji.
'Yall can't tell me you fools thought the fashion icon was straight.'

The further into the comments I got however the uglier they got. At some point, I forced myself to shut off my phone completely.
I dropped the device down on my bed before escaping to my bathroom to freshen myself up for this 'Engagement party.'

Despite actively hating this whole thing, you'd never catch me putting zero effort into my appearance. Considering my family, I've never known zero effort. Especially at any kind of event. That's what this had become.

I kept my hair slicked back, though two specific strands kept falling in front of my face no matter what I did. So I just left it. I kept the makeup to a bare minimum, focusing mostly on the skincare routine. After that, I exited my bathroom. A Knock on my door came shortly after. Despite being in just my sweats, I welcomed them inside.

Monse entered the room, her. eyes respectfully remaining up.

"Your mother asked me to inform you that you have an hour to finish." I smiled at her.
