THIS WAS THE ONE TIME I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND DRESSING UP FOR THE OCCASION. It wasn't like it was a real wedding with real guests. We didn't even have a guest list. It was both sets of parents, Yeosang and me, along with of course, the officiant. But of course once again my egg donor insisted that I will be upon arrival. I was deemed to wear black and Yeosang to wear white. Mostly due to the family's choosing which color would suit the grooms best.

I was standing here in one of the rooms being dress up in a luxury suit, designed by my mother's own brand. Of course, having to have a spotlight of her own here somewhere. The tie was fastened around my neck and waved the stylist away to do my own damn hair. They had slicked it all the way back which looked utterly ridiculous if they wanted to call that styling. Zero effort really. I combed my fingers through, putting strands of my hair exactly where I wanted them. Immediately, I looked ten times better.

I stepped out of the room to be met with my mother and father as they walked in front of me through the empty halls of the courthouse, to the designated room. My eyes met Yeosang's figure immediately, standing between his parents and suddenly I realized exactly why they requested him to wear white. I couldn't deny that white made him look so elegant. No. He made white look elegant. It was fit for his skin tone, his hair perfectly styled in that middle part, which his hair straightened more than it already was. The most surprising part, was he was completely barefaced. His birthmark was out, setting right on his cheekbone and I don't think I remember the last time I saw it. Elegant indeed. It made me slightly jealous.

We met eyes when my parents and I approached them. He didn't, just nodded his head to me. I returned the gesture. There was no more friendliness from that night of the gathering. Though, can't say I blame him. Today makes it all way too real. Our parents chatted as we waited for the officiant. But once they showed, it was mine and Yeosang's show. We sat down, filling out the necessary paper work for the marriage license. Both giving consent as we signed our names on the dotted lines. Then there was the second wait. As the paperwork was sent in for a quick approval from the judge. We kept our last names, making it a lot easier in the future.

Then within the snap of our fingers, the vows were made. Rings we didn't know were picked for us, sliding onto our fingers.

But once the part, "you may now kiss your groom" was said, we both just looked at the woman awkwardly.
