MOURNING DISCO is a Killjoy, the name given to the rebels against the brainwashing corporation, Better Living Industries (BL/ind), that controls Battery City. She and 5 other Killjoys are living in an abandoned diner in the California desert. The year is 2019 and this fabulous Killjoy is determined to defeat monotony and clutch onto her individuality.
RAYNE WETHERS is an exterminator, someone responsible for "taking care of" rogue Killjoys in the outside areas of Battery City, known as the Zones. He's employed by BL/ind to protect their vision for society and make sure no Killjoy stands in the way of that coming to fruition. Mourning Disco and her little gang have outrun him one time too many and he's not letting them get away again.
