It's a friday night and I can't believe Elina convinced me to go out for drinks tonight. Elina is a way more party person than myself, I could be painting rocks right now, but instead I'm walking over to her house. Monica promise me the dogs would be outside, so hopefully I wont get beer spilled all over myself before we go out. What happens after, remains to be seen.
"We're doing shots, cousin!" Elina yells as she opens the door, with one shot of tequila in each hand. Yea, I'm gonna end up sleeping on the sidewalk tonight. Taking a deep breath, I reach for the small glass. "You really have to do this to me, Elina?" I ask. She grins and clinks her glass in mine and we shot.
I have never liked alcohol. Especially not strong alcohol. To be honest, I don't last long before I'm long gone so I certainly hope this shot wont make me gone in 20 minutes.
Thankfully, I managed to keep myself rather sober till we actually left the house. Elina manage to drag Monica with us as well, but I think she wanted to come with us mostly to make sure we didnt get into trouble or did something stupid.
When we arrived at the bar, lots of people were already spread all over the place. The music was loud, people were chatting, dancing and singing. At this point I felt way to sober to be here so I immediatly went to the bar to get myself a beer While Elina and Monica are dancing away on the floor and I wave at them as they sink dreper into the crowd.
"Could I get a glass of water?" a man yells to the bartender, accidently bumping into me. He excuse himself and pushe is shoulder long, brown hair out of the way. "you here by yourself?" he asks me While I take a sip from my beer.
"My friends dragged me here," I explain and he laughs as he gets his glass of water. Speaking of the devils, Elina and Monica is coming towards us. Elina, with anxiety long gone from her many drinks, take one arm around me and the other around the unknown man.
" you guys should join us at the Dance floor, it's pretty fun!" she yells over the music, giggling. I look at Monica, shaking her head with a smile on her face. "Would love to, but my buddy over there needs water," our new friend says and points at a guy with his back to us, who clearly has had enough as he slides down from his chair. Elina looks over to where he is painting and giggles again. "babysitter, huh? She says, before she drags Monica with her back to the Dance floor.
" pretty girls you've got with you," the foreign man says as he turns towards the drunk man, who is now playing on the floor."my cousins," I tell him and he gives me a knowing look. He starts walking towards the man on the floor, who is now pulling himself back up and as the lone wolf I apparantly am, I follow him.
"wanna help me sober him up?" he asks with a grin, giving me the glass of water before he leans down and helps his friend sit back up on the chair. "Hey Pablo, how are you, buddy?" my new friend says in a reassuring tone. Pablo looks at him with dazed eyes and smiles. I come a bit closer, keeping in mind do hold my left arm away so he wont see the beer.
"You need some water, friend?" I ask and offer him my right arm with the fresh, cold water. He grabs the glass and chugs it all down.
"I like you" Pablo says and points at me before he manages to set the now empty glass on the table in front of him. "I'm Harald, by the way" Pablo's friend says as he is dragging Pablo's arm over his shoulder and mimicks for me to do the same on the other side.We drag Pablo through the crowded bar until we're outside. With the bar in my back, I can see the moon Shining in the oceon before me. The only light is from the sky, water and the building behind us. Out here it's almost calm, with the noises of the waves hitting the Stone walls beneath me and the fading chatting and music behind.
The calmness doesn't last long, when Pablo falls to the ground, dragging himseld over to the edge. He makes a few grumping sounds before his body renses and twists. I look away from him as he is starting to throw up, let him be by himself for a bit. Me and Harald find a bench to sit on While we let Pablo do what he needs.
"Thankyou," Harald says to me. I lean back, trying to listen to the waves hitting the wall again, but the sound of Pablo's puking is way too loud. "No problem, mate" I respond.
