CHAPTER 3

Seungmin sighed to himself as he turned his phone over and placed it down gently on top of his bed covers. He laid there flat on his stomach with his head buried into the pillow for quite a while. After what felt like hours, he picked up his head and took a tight grasp of his phone. The case of Seungmin's phone fell off a bit, leaving it slightly crooked and the top left corner bare as it was touching his fingers. He pushed in his phone to fix it before looking at the time. "Is it already 4 in the morning already?" He thought to himself, groaning softly before shifting his weight from one side to another. He was going to have to get up in about an hour to start his long, tiring journey for school. As in a one-hour car drive so he can make it on time at seven in the goddamn morning. Seungmin already knew that Felix and Jisung were most definitely going to ask him for a ride to school due to the fact they're way too lazy to drive their own fat asses to school which was approximately fifteen minutes away for the both of them. Sometimes he wondered if they have a car and an option to get onto the school bus that takes them to school, why bother to ask him who was further away from school? They can be really stupid sometimes. Not only sometimes, but all of the time. He always questioned himself as well based on why he isn't rejecting their annoying pleads to drive them to school. Seungmin tried once and from what he can remember, that didn't work out for the most because the only other thing he remembered was that he gave in anyway. What a waste of time.

Seungmin was peacefully sleeping before he heard a loud yet gentle voice scream from downstairs.

"Seungmin-ah sweetheart! It's almost time for you to go off to school! You need to wake up and come downstairs for breakfast! I made your favorite! Pancakes!" Seungmin's mother shouted from downstairs. He groaned, although having a bit of motivation to push away the covers from his warm body and get up. "Coming!" He yelled back with a raspy voice that cut off in between some of his yelling. Seungmin's throat was a bit sore and yelling this early didn't make it any better. He sat with his legs dangling from the side of his bed that the sage green covers were wrinkled up and pushed to the side of his twin-sized bed. Seungmin stood up, wobbing a bit as he regained his consciousness and ability to be stable while standing still has, he could feel the cold air hit his bare, pale arms. He felt the cold dark wood floors touch his naked feet as he slipped on his favorite pair of slippers that had small, light brown doggy ears on them with an adorable face before making his way to his bathroom door across the dark oak wood flooring.

He pushed the door open as it made a soft creaking sound before walking in and turning on the lights. Seungmin covered his sensitive eyes with the back of his forearm as the bright light shined into his eyes. He wasn't quite adjusted to this setting due to laying around in a pitch-black room for more than five hours straight. Seungmin slowly dragged his feet across the tilted floors to reach the marbled bathroom sink. He picked up his blue toothbrush and the toothpaste that laid beside the practically thousands of skincare products that he had laying around on his sink. Seungmin squirted a small glob of toothpaste onto the toothbrush bristles before turning on the sink and adjusting the water temperature. He wettened the toothpaste glob with a bit of water before sticking it in his mouth and brushing them until they were all clean to get this disgusting, nasty, horrific taste out of his mouth. 

After Seungmin was finished with brushing his teeth, his mouth felt cleaner than ever. There was a minty aftertaste left in his mouth that will surely fade away later on in the day. He found himself in front of his closet, looking at all of his clothes. He always wished he could wear something else to school rather than a school uniform, which he can't argue, the uniform isn't bad. It's actually genuinely decent and fashionable, but it doesn't fit his taste fully. Seungmin tugged at one of his school uniform shirts to get it off the hanger and draped it over his free arm before grabbing the rest of his uniform attire.

Seungmin walked the spiraled staircase of his house. His legs were a bit tired due to the fact his room was on the very top floor, as in the third floor. Seungmin glanced over at the kitchen table and saw a plate of three pancakes that were each rainbow colored. 

"Mom.." Seungmin stared blankly at the plate of pancakes as he sped walked over to the counter where his mother stood.

"I made pancakes! But they're rainbow because it's pride month!" Seungmin's mother smiled brightly as she picked up her things and started making her way to the main door. "I know you will turn out somewhat gay because all three of your older siblings are in the LGBTQ+ community!" She opened the door wide and paused. "Now enjoy. I have to get to work. Have fun at school!" Seungmin's mother walked out and closed the door gently as Seungmin just looked at the pancakes before shrugging and starting to eat it.
