Chapter: Scratching The Surface

"It seems we've fallen behind again." A voice said.

"Really? Again master? Why do you say that?" Another voice asked.

"Just look Dhar Mann. That blasted mutt! He's...he's.." Braddery said as he couldn't finish his sentence.

Dhar Mann came over to take a look at what Braddery had been referring to and what he saw shook him to his core.

"He's awakened sir. I see what you mean now. This isn't good in the slightest." Dhar Mann said.

Braddery slammed his fist down as he spoke.

"Of course it's not good. All this mutt has done is get in our way! For christ sake. He managed to bring out his latent potential...even I haven't done that yet! None of us have..except well. You know we can't talk about him. He was the only other Sigma Male to do it! And now this mutt has gone and outdone the rest of us?!?" Braddery said.

"Yes master I understand I understand. It seems that LoveandLight fellow pushed him to his absolute. Which resulted in this. Maybe if we experienced something similar we too could awaken." Dhar Mann explained.

"No no Dhar Mann. You've got it all wrong. Each of us has our own set path. Our condition that needs to be met. None of us know what it is until it happens. In Huebos case it was being on his deathbed. In fact we could go our whole lives without ever figuring it out. All I know is this mutt is REALLY GETTING ON MY NERVES!" Braddery shouted as he slammed his fist down harder this time.

"Well master you do remember what was foretold about Huebo correct?" Dhar Mann asked.

"No? No I don't actually. My mind has been clouded lately. Remind me." Braddery said.

"It's said Huebo may or may not have a connection to...him. The one who we may not speak of. Though we all received our powers at the same time I believe one of us was hiding something. That being him. He's been around longer than all of us. He didn't need the meteorite shard he just absorbed it for more power. Huebo may be a distant relative to him...that's why he's growing at such an exponential rate in power! He's a prodigy essentially." Dhar Mann explained.

"You...you actually make a lot of sense Dhar Mann. I do feel like something was off about him. It explains why he was able to leave our planet as soon as he did. So Huebo may in fact be related to him. This is bad. We need to get back into action! We need more allies too. Dhar Mann...we have to try to become stronger. We can't keep sitting around as we watch our lackeys." Braddery explained.

"Yes master I agree. If we don't start soon we may never catch up to Huebo. I fear he's still not done growing even after this." Dhar Mann said.

They both agreed it was time to get off their asses and get some work done. It has been a while since we've heard from these two. It seems they might finally start doing something. Now that they've seen...

"Huebo..? Is that..is this even him anymore?" Daniel questioned.

The Huebo standing before our idiots was quite different now. His pupils had changed and so had his arms. His fur even standing up a bit now. This was...an awakening.

"Still me buddy. It seems I've...I've unlocked my potential. I may look different but it's still me guys." Huebo explained as his fist was still through LoveandLight.

Huebo stepped back and took his fist out of LoveandLight as he took a look at himself now.

"I feel...so much more energy. This is nuts! Maybe I can actually.." Huebo said as he got cut off.
