Chapter 2

Riley's POV: I wonder why Lucas asked Maya to walk to school with him. And why would Maya ditch me for him? She knows I like him. They hate each other anyways. There has to be a good reason.

Maya's POV: Right after class ended Riley came up to me. "When,how, where, and why did this happen?" She asked.
"When is this morning, how is I was walking to your apartment and I fell and Lucas came to help, where is the sidewalk about a block from your apartment, and why is I don't know." I answered her honestly.
"You know I like him Maya, please promise me this doesn't mean anything." She said.
Can I promise her? I have to. She'd never forgive me.
"I promise." I said.
"Okay then, do you want to come over for lunch?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'd love that."
We walked to Riley's apartment.
As soon as we walked in Auggie came running and jumped into Riley's arms. "Hey smiley Riley!" He yelled.
"Hey Auggie!" Riley replied.
"Hi Maya!" Auggie said.
"Hey Auggie." I said.
Topanga walked into the room and said "Hey girls! Are you hungry?"
"Yeah! Are you cooking?" Riley asked.
"Yes, but I'm not sure what yet." Topanga replied.
"Okay, we're going to my room can you come get us when the food is ready?" Riley asked Topanga.
"Sure honey" Topanga said smiling.
We walked into Riley's room and I plopped down on Riley's bed laying on my belly. Riley walked over and sat down beside me.
"Soooo..." Riley said.
I gave her a confused look and asked "soo?" She frowned and I could tell she was still worried about Lucas asking me to walk with him. "Riles, there is nothing to worry about. You think I could possibly have feelings for ranger Rick?!" I said smiling. "Yeah, I guess I shouldn't be worried." She said laughing. She leaned in and hugged me. "I'm sorry I got so upset and worried, Maya." "It's okay Riley, it was kind of strange." I said smiling.
