Chapter 7

Riley's POV- BEEP BEEP BEEP.
I rolled over and hit snooze on my alarm clock. 7:10 AM.
BEEP BEEP BEEP. 7:30 AM.
I sat up rubbing my eyes.
I yawned. Oh man! I have to get ready! I thought to myself.
I got my phone and checked my texts.

Maya: Hey Riles, hope you don't mind but Lucas asked me to walk to school with him this morning. You can come along if you want, it's up to you.

umm third wheel much? no way.

I texted Maya back.
R-That's okay. No I'll be fine.
M-Ya sure?
R-Yes! Of course! :)
M-Okay, well I'll see you at school. ttyl.
R- Ttyl!
I tossed my phone on my bed and got dressed, fixed my hair, put on makeup, etc.

I walked to school by myself.
I put my headphones in and listened to some music on the way.
I was walking along, looking at my phone when all of a sudden I went to step off the sidewalk to cross the street and BAM a tall dark haired boy jumped and pushed me back.

"Ouch!" I said as I hit the ground with him landing on top of me.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!!!" He jumped up and reached his hand out to help me up.

A car sped past and the tires squealed.
"They almost hit you..." He said shyly.
"Oh my gosh. Thanks!" I said as he helped me up.
Hmmm, he's cute. I thought to myself.
"Hey! I've seen you around school!" He said once he'd looked at me for a few seconds.
"You have?"
"Yeah, you're Riley right?"
"Yeah! and you are?" I asked
"Charlie." He smiled.
"Well, wanna walk to school together?" I asked.
"Sure!" He said.
