Chapter 3

Riley's POV: Maya has promised me that she has no feelings for Lucas, so I believe her. Now, does Lucas have feelings for Maya?....

Riley's POV: I rolled over and hit snooze on my alarm that had been going off for the past 5 minutes. What time is it? I thought and looked at the alarm. 7:19?!? I jumped out of the bed. Maya will be here at 7:30 to leave for school! How am I gonna get ready in less than 15 minutes?! I grabbed my clothes that I had already picked out the night before and ran into my bathroom. I hurried and put my clothes on and grabbed my hair brush, I brushed my hair out and braided the front into a small braid that wrapped around my head like a headband. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and then hurried into the kitchen where my parents and Auggie sat waiting on me. "Good morning Riley!" My mom said laughing. "I overslept." I replied as there was a knock at the door. Before anyone had a chance to open it, the door opened and Maya walked in. "I'm home." She said laughing and walked over to the table. "We've been expecting you." My dad said.
"I don't know if that's sweet, or creepy." Maya said. Maya and I both sat down at the table to eat breakfast quickly before we left as we do every morning before school.
After breakfast we left for school.....
