George groaned as he pulled off his blanket, rubbing his tired eyes. He looked around his room, his eyes catching the picture board on the wall. He smiled as he saw a picture of Sapnap, Sam, and Callahan standing together. That day, they were at the park, hanging out. It was Cal's idea, thinking it'd be nice to have a picnic. Sapnap and Sam were reluctant but decided to go because of the amount of work Cal put into the food. George had to be dragged along by Sap. He had spent that whole morning asleep. He couldn't be bothered to wake up for a picnic.
He frowned as he got up from the bed, stretching as he walked toward his desk. He grabbed his phone, checking his missed messages. His eyes widened as he saw a message from Dream. George had forgotten he was meeting with the blonde to talk about his "job."
D: Come over in 20 minutes.
G: Okay, I'm on my way
The Brit sighed as he left his phone on the desk and approached his closet. He searched his clothes, pulling out a simple black shirt and dark jeans. "Hmm..." he hummed, grabbed his phone, and left the bedroom. He chewed on his inner cheek as he walked down the stairs, noticing his father sitting on the couch. "Hey, Dad!" he greeted.
The man turned to look at the teen, smiling. He put his cup of coffee on the glass table before him. "Good morning! How did you sleep?" he asked. George shrugged, "So-so. Where's Mom?"
"She's visiting your Grandmother in the hospital," Mr. Davidson said. George nodded, walking into the kitchen to grab a small snack for breakfast. "Are you going somewhere?"
"Yeah! I'm heading out to see a friend," George answered. "I don't know when I'll be back, though."
George got most of his looks from his father but got his personality from his mother. People never fail to mention it whenever he's with his parents. Mr. Davidson nodded, pulling out of his phone. "Well, if you can, you should see your Grandma. She's been asking for you."
"Okay, I'll try—" George said, making himself a quick sandwich. He sighed as he bit into the food, approaching the front door. He waved at his father before opening the door to leave, "See you later, Dad!"
"Have fun and be careful! Be home before curfew. That killer, whatever his name is, killed a man and took his kid last night," Mr. Davidson said. George's eyes widened. He abruptly turned to look at his father, staring with shock. "What? Who?"
Mr. Davidson shrugged, "All I recall is the boy's name. Jack? Jake? I don't quite remember. It's one of those two. Either way, be careful, okay? Your mother and I would be devastated if something happened to you out there."
George let out a shaky breath, nodding. "Okay, Dad. I'll be careful, I promise. See you later..."
The Brit walked out of the house, closing the door behind him. He finished eating his sandwich and quickly walked through his neighborhood. He had to get to Dream's cabin ASAP. There was no second to waste. George knew what happened between Sapnap and Jake during the party, but was it enough reason for Dream to act on it? "Who are you kidding, George?! Of course, Dream would attack Jake for doing that to Sap! They like each other, for fucks sake!" he thought, pulling at his hair as he ran into the forest.
He knew the forest was the fastest way to get to the cabin. It was far away and isolated from his neighborhood. There was no easy way to get there following a street without someone seeing you and getting suspicious. "Ugh, what did you do, Dream?" he asked. He knew what Dream must've done to Jake and his father. If Mr. Davidson was right, Jake's father must be dead. Jake would be down in the basement with the other hostages, with Cal. He couldn't help but wonder if he received the same treatment as his friends, free from any torture or punishment. Or was he being treated like the other hostages, being tortured on a daily for their crimes?
