Roxy's POVSweat connects my hair and my forehead together, as I've been waiting tables since 8 am. It's 8:30 pm—for your information. Twelve whole fucking hours.
You might be wondering why I've worked myself through hell today, and not just today but this whole week, and that's because talking about going to college with Charlie made me realize how I needed to start saving up more money for it. I have a savings account specifically for college, but I've been working normal hours and I've got to pay the bills, so it hasn't been over two hundred dollars in a while. Until this week.
I'm proud of myself for how hard I've worked. Ready to clock out, I wipe the sweat off my face. "Montgomery!" I turn around, my finger literally so close to touching the button to end my shift. "Get this table!"
My manager waves over at a huge party table, covered in cups and food. It's disgusting, and the kind of people that leave tables like that, are the reason why I always make sure to clean up after myself at restaurants.
I sigh, and nod my head slightly before turning around, grabbing a rag, and getting ready to clean this disgusting table.

Charlie's POV
Me and Roxy have been on a coffee date, and many home dates, but what I realized is that we haven't been on a real date, one where I took her to a fancy dinner.
So I put on a dress, did my hair, and took hours of my time to look the best I could. I mean, with showering, washing my hair, shaving, putting on a dress and heels, doing my makeup, doing my hair, drying to find the best perfume to wear...It took a while to make sure I looked perfect. I also made sure to not surprise her on this one. Me, as a girl, knows exactly how long it takes to do all of this so I told Roxy I'm taking her out and she needs to dress fancy an hour ago. The best thing about liking girls is knowing what to do and not making the same mistakes as guys. She would've hated it if I told her just that I'm taking her out and not how to dress.
"Bitch, after this fucking date, I better meet her!" Sabrina squeals, talking on speaker phone as I put my earring on. "You better send a pic of what you look like. I need to know if I approve!"
A smile spreads on my face before I laugh a little. I curled my hair for this, and I love how it looks. "I will, I will! Just let me finish putting on my jewelry."
I look in the mirror and I smile, feeling pretty. It's a rare feeling that I'm not used to, but when I get all glammed up, I instantly feel like the prettiest girl in the world. I feel as if I'm a completely different person.
I'm wearing a tight red dress with makeup to match. I take a picture for Sabrina and send it to her, hearing her squeak into the phone when she sees it.
"Oh my god, girl, you might just kill her with how fucking slaying you look!" She squeals. "I can't get over how beautiful you look, right now."
"It looks better in person, I promise." I look at the picture and then in the mirror and agree with myself. In my eyes the picture looks terrible and I hate it, but in the mirror...I feel so pretty a smile forms on my face.
"Girl, there is no way you can look even better than this! No way!"
I laugh and put on my nude heels. I sigh nervously as I look at myself. "Okay, I think I'm ready."
"Go get em', tiger!"
