Peter is making history.
The whole day Peter has not been terribly late like he usually is. Sure, he may have shown up about three minutes late to meet Harry, but that's only three! Peter isn't proud to admit it, but he has done even worse jobs being punctual. So he claims that he has been doing better with being on time.
Harry himself seems at least somewhat pleased by this sudden improvement. He does not display his appreciation towards it a whole lot, though, but Peter catches onto the small content smile that his friend tries to hide in front of the silently criticizing eyes of Oscorp officials that hover around as Harry exits through the large front doors of the building his father once ran.
"Told you I'd meet you here," Peter says, offering a genuine smile that Harry doesn't match until he can lift his head without anyone else but Peter peering at his face.
"Yeah, let's go." Harry's hands rest on Peter's shoulders, walking behind him while urging him to move faster, giving Peter multiple flat tires in the process as their feet stumble. "We've only got so much time before they wanna drag me back."
"You're the boss, aren't you?" Peter asks, huffing out a laugh of amusement, slight curiosity lingering underneath as he steps to the side and cranes his neck towards Harry, his hair messy after he runs his hands through it at least three times before shrugging.
"Sure," He says and doesn't explain much further, only bumps his fist to Peter's bicep and chuckles. "Wanna catch a bite?"
"Please," Peter says in agreement and a laugh. "I'm starved."
Harry gives an amused look, then leads the way. Once the two find some stools near the entrance of a burger joint that sounds good enough, Peter is listening to Harry catch him up on things, mostly business stuff, since taking up Oscorp has obviously thrown a lot of that his way.
Harry shrugs, plopping a fry down onto his basket and huffing. "But, yknow, Oscrop's funding a bunch of stuff right now- I don't even know half of it, I think."
Harry's currently been going on about the financial portion of the cooperation, and Peter's been nodding along and throwing in short sentences here and there, already halfway gone through his cheeseburger.
"I bet." He takes a bit, making sure to swallow it down with some soda before he opens his mouth again. "The place is huge after all, I wouldn't expect one single person to know everything there is to know about Oscorp."
"Fair enough, there's a lot going on, but-" He stuffs a fry in his mouth, uncermounsily munching down on his food. "You know, it's sorta my job now."
"Yeah, it's probably awesome."
Harry laughs, nearly choking because he does so, and quickly moves to dab himself with a napkin and present some high manners, making Peter snort before resting an elbow on the dining surface.
"I mean, you're the face of Osborn now, that must be worth something-" Peter glances away and raises a hand. "Or a lot, I should say. Like a whole lot." He takes a sip of his drink, eyeing the way Harry blinks at him because he's being a captain obvious, thankfully not in a terrible way, but Peter gets the hint and waves his hand. "But that's beside the point. The point is you're most definitely an awesome Oscorp boss-employee-thingy! I mean, like, your father-"
Peter pauses, feeling a wave of uncertainty hit him like a brick wall he's slammed into while swinging, face smacking against the hard material all in a metaphorical sense as he frowns, looking at Harry who winces, hardly noticeable, but in Peter's eyes it's still so obvious.
