The Boy Across the Street (COMPLETED- Ongoing Editing)

chapter one

Alex POV

"Mom someone finally moved in."  I yelled looking out the window.
"That's perfect now we'll have someone to give this basket too, here go bring it to them." She says.
"Now?!" I said turning to her "I got to get ready first, I haven't showered ."
"Fine go shower but after!" She yelled pointing at me as I ran upstairs.

I went upstairs and went into the shower. 15 minutes later once I get out, I wrap myself around my towel and go into my room. I look in my closet and put on a blue skater dress with my high top converse. I run down the stairs and grab the basket and went to the neighbors' house.

At the neighbors....

I knock once and there's no answer. I knock one more time before turning away. I start walking down the footway and I heard their door open. I turn around and smile. There's a hot boy standing in front of me smiling. I walk back up and  The boy said,
"Hi, you must be our neighbor." His smile fades turning into a smirk.
Damn, he's cute. He had the perfect tan skin tone, with brown eyes and dark brown hair that can be mistaken for black. He smiled and I smiled back and said,
"Hi I'm Alexis but everyone calls me Alex."
"I'll have to remember that." he says. We have a weird eye contact moment where we were just staring at each other. I broke the 'staring contest',
"My mom wanted me to drop of this basket." I say looking down at it and hand it to him.

"Well tell her Thank you and that she has a beautiful daughter."

I felt my blood heating up and my face flushes red.
He smirked and says,
"What?" With another huge smirk.
I started walking down the footway until I heard him say,
"I never got your number."
I smiled to myself before going back up,
"It's 12312236707" I smile and said, "text me right now."
I took out my iPhone and he texted me
MESSAGE*
???? Says- hey beautiful

....
He's so nice and pretty, might as well play a Lil hard to get. Wait, I never got his name.

I say, "I didn't get your name?." With an innocent smile. He said,
"It's Travis."
His name is even hot. I answered I'm with my thought. I said,
"Even Your name is hot."
He said, "even so what else is?" As he was smirking.
"If I tell you I'll be here all day and I got plans." I said will turning away.

I went inside and I told my mom,
"Its all done. So can I go to this party tonight?"
My mom thought about it for a while and I said,
"I'll let you think for an hour and then tell me. Is that okay?
" okay let me think." She said.

One hour later...

"Mom!" I yelled from upstairs.
"What!" She said.
"Am I allowed to go?"
"Your 16 you're old enough to go. So yes." Mom said
We always had a good relationship my mom is my best friend. I heard her yell which snapped me out of my thoughts. She said,
" be home early tomorrows your first day of school!"
I smiled and got into the shower to get ready.

15 minutes later..

I got out of the shower and went into my room and opened my closet. I took out black leggings with a white crop top. I put on my black and white vans.
I went back into the bathroom and dried my hair. After I waved it with a wave iron, I did my make up and told my mom that I'm taking the car. I run outside and hop into the car. I realized I forgot my phone inside and ran back and got it.
I sat in the car and thought if I should invite Travis. I send him a message and he answered not even a minute later. It seemed like he was waiting for me too.

Messages

Me: Hey Travis are you up for a party?
Travis: hey princess. Of course what time?
Me: now ima drop by if that's okay?
Travis: Yup. I'm getting ready.
Me: okay.

I go into the car and drove it across the street I knock on the door and his dad opens I say,
"You must be Travis's father, I'm Alexis but everyone calls me Alex"
"Oh Alex, since you came all he has been doing is blabbing about you isn't that crazy." He said with a smile and a half laugh.
"Yeah crazy." I said.
" he's upstairs if you want to go up." He said point up.
I nodded and went upstairs. I opened his door of the room. He was shirtless. I couldn't help but look at his abs. He says,
"My eyes are up here love." With a smirk. I notice he had a slight British accent.
I looked up and I felt my face get hot and red again,  I said,
"You ready to go?" trying to change the subject.
He grabbed a shirt and threw it on, chuckled and said,
"Yeah let's go"
He led me out first putting his hand on my back. I felt chills on my back.
I ran downstairs out of habit. travis's father was in the kitchen so I yelled, "bye mr.-?" 

"Delaney. Mr.Delaney." he said. I smiled and said, "yeah, nice to meet you." throwing him a slight smile. I walked out of the door. I started walking out the door 

"Alex this hole day I couldn't stop thinking of you."
I blushed so bad that he noticed . and I forgot to ask,
" how old are you?" I said.
" oh I'm 17. And you?"
"16" I smiled in relieve .

Travis POV
I like alex if its not noticeable. She's so perfect . I wonder if this is a date.
"Beautiful?"
"Yeah?" Alex said.
"Is this a date?"
"Do you want it to be?"
Before I had a chance to answer we got to the car and I got into the passenger seat. I wanted to keep talking to her so I said ,
"Yes."
"Yes what?" She said.
"Yes I want this to be a date .
Her face expression turned from a big smile to a frown. She started crying.
"What's wrong ?" I said.
"Well its just that I haven't been on a date for 2 years and I'm not ready." She said.
"Beautiful, we can just hang out we can just be friends. Okay?"
She nodded and started to drive then she stopped the car half way there and said
"I'm not up for a party do you want me to hang out at your place for a while" she said
I nod and lead her to my room. I said,
" I'm going to get ready for bed you can stay here for a while."
She nods and I walk into the bathroom.
Alex POV
Messages
Me: mom can I stay at a friends house?
Mom: there's school tomorrow.
Me: she goes to school so I can get ready there.
Mom: okay take care.
Travis gets out of the bathroom with shorts and no shirt. I told him,
"Travis my mom said I can stay at a friends. So can I stay here, we can get ready for school together?"
He said, " yeah sure he Gave me a big tee shirt and said
"Here you can where this tonight." He smiled.
I take the shirt and I go and change in the bathroom.
20 minutes later...
"Wow it takes you that long?"
"Yeah sorry I kinda have... Yeah"
"Oh. Yeah that. cmon lay down." He said setting up on the floor.
" what are you doing?"
"Sleeping on the floor."he said.
"No your not"
"You aren't either you have your thing." He said in a caring voice.
"Sleep on the bed with me. Maybe?"
"Do you mind" he asked.
I shook my head no.
I took the covers off and we both got in. We faced each other and I told him,
"I really like you. But I can't now "
"Is it okay if I give you a kiss?' He said.
I nodded with a smile. He got closer to me and i did the same. We shut our eyes and our lips met. I pulled back and smiled he looked at me and said,
"What?"
"Your a good kisser" I said
He said
"Night."
I smiled and went to bed for the first day of school.
