vampires are the deadliest creatures to exist. they have a brain sharper than of a human and physical abilities that humans can never compete with, and a heart? vampire didn't have any— for they didn't feel any emotions towards anyone— maybe not even towards themselves. they are superior of any kind and perhaps that's why the world has labelled them as a myth, something that was good in tales and not in the real world.

humans were wrong.

vampires are real.

jeon jeongguk is very much real.

but the myth of vampires being invincible might not be true after all. having a lack of heart, lack of emotions— such nonsense. jeongguk was far from what the real world described himself as. he might be ruthless, superior to humans, a nightmare that would rip you apart for his own satisfaction but in no way was he deprived of emotions. jeongguk himself found him realizing that a thousand years later, when he grabbed taehyung's ankle, dragging him out of his escapism.

the realization of having emotions was so fucked up, it messed up the vampire's composure. he may have lived a few generations of humans by now but all he ever knew was the relentless thirst for blood but now? it was like being tossed into a stormy sea of feelings he couldn't control.

anger, sadness, lust, fear, anxiety, nervousness, happiness, love— jeongguk never felt any of those but he did now. he felt every single emotions course through his veins when he tightly gripped taehyung's ankle.

he was so close to losing taehyung that it made him feel different, made him feel vulnerable like a human. jeongguk hated it, he was invincible, he was sure of it. if he could overcome his father's wrath, he was sure he could overcome anything.

a vampire could never be defeated. not by a human at least but right then, with him grasping taehyung's ankle, gazing down at him with that menacing look on his face, he felt the monster inside him scream in agony.

he was close to being defeated.

his victory, his taehyung was this close to slip away.

history will repeat itself? fuck that. jeongguk would twist the entire history if it meant he could be with taehyung.

at first, jeongguk thought he was just infatuated with the human. that for once he found something amusing to play with. he thought he'd get tired of taehyung soon but no, he marked him once, then twice and the urge to mark him again and again until there was no spot left in taehyung's neck to mark was corrupting his mind.

he got obsessed, wholly but even then his emotions didn't stop. his sick obsession formed into something else, something more fucked up than obsession and lust.
