♣️ Despite being a powerful overlord, Husk is very calm and patient. He is also authoritative - in favor of rules, while being supportive of Angel’s needs (Verywell Mind).
♦️ Husk stays sober from alcohol so he can care for the little spiderling. He also tries his hardest not to smoke cigars around Angel because smoke brings out horrible memories of Valentino. He even gets nicotine patches to curb his smoking habit.
♠️ Husk has so much dosh (Adventure Time slang for treasure/money) that he spoils Angel to the nth degree. Angel wasn’t sure about this since Val would only shower him with gifts one minute and hurt him the next. However, Husk reassures Angel that he is spoiling him out of genuine kindness.
♥️ And boy, does Husk spoil Angel with the best of the best - little clothing (onesies, sweaters, footed sleepers, etc.) and stuffies with the softest, cuddliest material, food that is nutrient dense and soul nourishing, you name it (if Angel wants it, of course).
♣️ Husk has a baby monitor (with Angel’s permission) so he can make sure that Angel is safe when he’s playing or napping in another room (idea by @nottapossum).
♦️ When Angel regresses and Husk has to go to an overlord meeting or a poker game, he hires Cherri Bomb and Fat Nuggets as nannies so either one of them (or both) can babysit.
♠️ Husk never lets Angel go to work when he’s small because of the spider wanting to keep his coping mechanism as far as possible from Valentino (idea by @yourneurodivergentlady).
♥️ Angel struggles with trauma and PTSD. He also struggles with big emotions, but he thankfully has Husk, Fat Nuggets, and Cherri to help him cope. He even has his own calming corner to help him calm down (idea from @yourneurodivergentlady and Big Drink (Hazbin Hotel oneshot)). Angel’s favorite thing to do in the calming corner is sit in a fabric/sensory swing while listening to calming music and reading his favorite books, all while snuggling with Fat Nuggets.
♣️ Like in my Regressor! Angel headcanons, Angel’s favorite programs are Blue’s Clues (all versions: orginal, Blue’s Room, BC&Y!), Sesame Street, Olivia (Peppa walked so Olivia could run), Octonauts, PB&J Otter, Puffin Rock, Rubbadubbers, Bubble Guppies, Angelina Ballerina, Bluey, and Bear in the Big Blue House. He also loves Baby Einstein and the BabyFirst Channel when he regresses to a tiny headspace (0-2).
♦️ Husk rents out places such as the local aquarium and park so Angel can get out of the house and regress without any fear if he wants to. Angel always has little gear that is discreet to the public eye.
♠️ Husk’s mansion also has an aquarium and Angel visits there a lot (with supervision from Husk, Cherri, or Fat Nuggets when he’s little).
♥️ Like in my Regressor! Angel headcanons, Angel’s regressed age ranges from 0-6.
♣️ Husk is always prepared. He has his own baby bag that he carries wherever he goes and has whatever Angel needs, whether it be a snack or a sensrory toy (idea from Caregiver! Husk headcanons).
♦️ Husk has a co-sleeping crib next to his bed for Angel (idea from Caregiver! Husk headcanons). He decorated the co-sleeping crib to be the comfiest bed for the itsy-bitsy spider. I’m talking sheets with a 400 thread count, cooling pillows so Angel doesn’t get hot at night, and a little side toy that plays soothing music to lull Angel to sleep.
♠️ Angel calls Husk “Kitty” and “Papa”. When he’s incredibly tiny, he calls Husk “Ba” (which melts the gambling demon’s heart).
♥️ Husk gave Angel a baby blanket that has a pattern of pigs and little playing card symbols, along the words “Little Spiderling” embroidered on it.
♣️ Husk will sometimes swaddle Angel up and tell him stories about his day (like how he got his own aquarium and stuff) to lull him to sleep (inspired by The Middle’s Eyes Wide Open).
♦️ Angel sometimes vent regresses, but Husk is always there to help him feel better and know that regression doesn’t always have to be positive. Husk would also sing It’s Okay to Cry to Angel often to let him know that “it’s okay to cry and you shouldn’t feel bad about feeling bad (BoJack Horseman)”.
♠️ Angel also regresses to an infantile headspace whenever it’s his naptime or bedtime.
♥️ Angel isn’t a picky eater. He loves to eat fruit (Hazbin Hotel Wiki), especially if it’s cut up into cubes. Whenever Husk cooks, Angel helps him out (Husk does the grown-up stuff like cutting things up and boiling food in a pot and putting food in the oven).
♣️ Angel tries his best to help around the house because he sees Husk working a lot and doesn't want him to worry about chores. Angel has also been called spoiled and lazy by Valentino and doesn't want to be seen that way by Husk. Husk thanks Angel for trying to help out and reassures him that he is not spoiled and lazy in any way. He also reassures the spiderling that he is helping out by putting away his toys when it was time to do so (even sometimes doing it without being told to) and helping him cook.
♦️ Angel struggles with finding and using his voice, but Husk gently encourages him. He helps Angel be brave and praises him when he does so.
