Angel plopped down on the couch, hiding his face into a pillow after a long day and night of work.

This week was nothing but a real cesspool. Valentino has been on Angel's ass—figuratively and literally—for standing up to him at the Consent Club and missing out on shifts to prepare for the battle against Heaven on Extermination Day. He even forced the spider to stay up all night doing shoots or performing at strip clubs. It was fucking up Angel's sleep schedule and mental health.

Husk noticed Angel coming in from his spot behind the bar counter and walked over to him.

"Long week?" Husk asked.

Angel nodded his head, not making eye contact with the winged-cat.

"Everything was too bright and loud..." Angel grumbled. "Val used so much music and lights. He made me stay up so late, and he... he..."

Angel couldn't finish his sentence without tearing up.

"Hnngh..." the spider whined. He could feel his headspace instantly dropping. He felt like he wanted to scream, wanted to cry...

"Hey, buddy, it's okay. Come here," Husk comforted, reaching his arms out to Angel.

The spider sat up and let Husk pick him up as he cried. Husk gently sat on the couch and comforted his baby, letting him cry into his embrace, letting him regress.

"T'ings were 'oo much," Angel sniffled after a few minutes of sobbing.

"I know, kiddo, I know," Husk cooed sympathetically as he gently rubbed the spider's back. "Let's get you to your room, yeah? You want to be little for a while?"

Angel nodded his head. Husk took him upstairs to his room. When they arrived, the spiderling looked up and saw something in a corner of his room. There was a pink sensory swing. There was also a beanbag and a bookshelf filled with various fidget toys and books. An aquarium lamp and night projector both rested on top of the shelf. On the wall were various posters you'd see in an elementary school counselor's office.

"Is da?" Angel pointed at the decorated corner.

"It's your very own sensory corner," Husk explained as he wiped a few stray tears from Angel's eyes. "Charlie and I made it for you to help you regulate and cope with your big feelings."

"Is mine?"

Husk nodded as he carried Angel over to the sensory corner. Once they approached the shelf, Angel reached into one of the bins and pulled out a sensory toy. It was a squeezy toy that looked like a blobfish, one of Angel's favorite animals. The baby gave the toy a squeeze and giggled a bit.

"Fishy funny," Angel said.

"You like the blobfish toy?" Husk asked.

Angel nodded his head as Husk turned on the aquarium lamp.

"Fish wamp!" Angel gasped as Husk chuckled.

"Yeah, it's a fish lamp," the cat nodded.

"Is pretty."
