There you have it. It's now my chance to at last approach Xiao Yi Tian. Unbeknownst to me, I unexpectedly ran into him at the water station where students went to replenish their bottles. Perhaps in addition to reading my literary essay to him, I ought to also give him some praise.
I ran toward him from that point on. I began talking while he was filling up his extensive water bottle, my eyes falling on his gorgeous hair and his smooth skin.
"Hey... It seems like we're at the same School again."
Right after he rotates the cap to his water bottle to close it, there he finally finds the time to respond to me for the first time. All the nerves in me tingling in astonishment. "I mean, I'm totally not surprised. You're probably the girl whom everyone told has been crushing on me since I was in Seventh Grade. Aren't you?"
"Well, I can neither confirm nor deny.", Me leaving space for ambiguity while secretly biting my lower lip out of romantic fervor.
"As the saying goes, a "maybe is more of a "no". But I presume the complete contrary in your case."
"Anyway, I came here to praise you on your perseverance as a persistent Student Coordinating Body of the Secondary School Department. You know what, whether or not you notice it, you seem to bring about a lot of positive changes amongst youngsters here in our country by being yourself. I'll be sure to come against anyone who doesn't nominate you!"
"Oh, come on. Stop acting so patriotic now when you clearly score immensely low in your historical classes. You're just desperate for a reciprocated sense of approval from me by panegyrizing me."
"Imagine being smart enough to ace all your tests, but not smart enough to ace an assumption you're making.", I jived under my breath. Even though I could tell that he was becoming more and more contemptuous with each response, I chose to let him get ahead of me. I had no place passing up a crush. I suppose I'll just leave things off without me showing my literature assignment to him because based on the way things currently are, it'll probably just embarrass me even further which is something I greatly don't want to see happen. So, I kept my paper close to my chest, folded it, and kept it on my long pocket.
"My history marks aren't low. Who told you that? How were you able to find out that I was crushing on you all along?", I queried in intrigue. Feeling more lumps in my throat, providing me with a hindered sensation in each airway of my lungs.
"Come on, I was just being sarcastic with that one. I definitely noticed how you always enthusiastically whispered something to your best friend as soon as I walked past your classroom. The signs might be blurry, but it doesn't make them devoid either. There is absolutely no dimension where a girl who doesn't like a boy would approach him. But, I guess, I teleported into yet ANOTHER WORLD along those lines. Aren't you weirded out by yourself? Who do you think you are to talk to me as if you're entitled to my platonic acceptance I know damn well you're hoping to flourish into something more!? Move! This is such a waste of time, little girl. Shut your mouth and stop acting so cocky."
Following that episode, I felt extremely dismayed especially in light of the fact that everyone could obviously hear him speak and react to what I said. My shoes began to move away from the tile floor I was standing on initially. I was the center of attention for the most part, and I was made fun of merely because of my feelings. To be honest, it gave me the impression as if my own crush just tarnished my own reputation.
I was sobbing softly as I tried to conceal my weeping eyes behind the sleeve of my uniform. Imagine experiencing heartbreak from the very same person you truly adored and dedicated your entire being to ... How long will it take for me to wait for someone who is going to be worthy of my written poetry?
