"Ouch!" Abhira screams as she gets off the bus with three suitcases.

"Sorry, ma'am, I didn't mean to push you. I just have a lot of stuff in my hands," says a random stranger.

Abhira says, "It's okay, Bhaiya. Can you do me a favor?" She asks him with a curious look.

"Yes, I'd be happy to help," replies the person.

Abhira says, "I was wondering which route to take to get to this address."

The man takes a glance at the address Abhira shows him on her phone.

"This place is super close to the temple. It's a pretty tall and nice building. You can take a taxi; you should reach there in about 15 minutes."

Abhira says, "Thank you, Bhaiya."

Abhira is from Mussoorie. She moved to Udaipur because she recently got a job offer from one of the big companies in India. They have offered Abhira a flat to stay in, and she is extremely excited about her future and starting her new job.

As she gets to her new apartment, she's amazed by how big it looks and by the facilities of the apartment. It has a swimming pool, a spa room, and a beautiful elevator. She talks to the receptionist and gets her paperwork done.

"Do you work for the company named Kaveri & Associates (K&A)?" Abhira asks.

The person's eyes widen, and she slowly turns toward Abhira.

Person: "Do I know you?"

Abhira: "I'm Abhira. I just got here; I moved from Pune. I got a job offer at K&A, and I'm super excited to join this company."

Person: "Good for you."

Abhira smiles.

Abhira: "By the way, can I ask your name? It would be good to connect since we are living in the same building. We can be friends."

Person: "I already have enough friends, and you are not going to see me much in the building, so there's no point in being friends. My name is Ashna."

Abhira: "Oh... Such a lovely name. I will definitely see you around."

Ashna and Abhira step out of the elevator as they approach the 14th floor. Ashna just walks away before Abhira can ask any more questions.

Abhira talks to herself, "It seems like Udaipur is not going to be that welcoming, but oh well, I'll be fine as long as I have my mama with me."

Abhira slowly walks past all the doors until she gets to her room.

Abhira: "1445."

She struggles inside with her bags and is surprised by how nice the room is.

Abhira gets a call.

................................................................................................................................................................

Akshara: Where have you gone without informing me? Who does this? Do you know how worried I am? How can you do this to me?

Abhira: Mama...chill, relax. I wanted to give you a surprise, and since you've been so busy with the resort, I didn't want you to be worried.

Akshara: What are you saying, Abhira? where are you?

Abhira: Udaipur, but please don't yell at me. I know you don't like this place, and I know you didn't want me to leave Mussoorie. But I got a good job offer, Mama. I promise I'll come back in two days right after the orientation.

Akshara: UDAIPUR?

Hearing Abhira mention Udaipur makes Akshara extremely anxious and worried because she has a hidden past in Udaipur that Abhira knows nothing about.

Akshara: Come back right now. I don't care, but you need to be here by tonight.

Abhira: But mama, i'll be there in 2 days.

Akshara hangs up the call.

In Mussoorie:

Ramu Kaka (who works at the resort): Akshara beti, don't worry about Abhira. She has grown up, and she knows what's right and what's wrong. She has aspired to be a lawyer ever since she saw you. You shouldn't let her dreams be crushed.

Akshara: But Kaka, how can I let my Abhira go to that place that threw me away in a second? What if someone sees her? What if someone recognizes her?

Ramu Kaka: That's impossible! Nobody even knows that she exists. You shouldn't be this tough on Abhira. You should just support her dreams.

Akshara: Kaka, i didn't have money to provide her with better education. She has knowledge of law and firms from my teaching. She has learned ever since she grew up. She has read all of my law books. But with a degree from a very small college, it is impossible to succeed at that big firm.

Ramu Kaka: We will see what the future holds. But for now, you should support her and make her realize that you are there for her.

Akshara, with tears in her eyes, wipes them away and makes a call to Abhira.

Abhira: Mama?

Akshara: I'm sorry.

Abhira: Mama, what are you saying? I should be the one saying sorry. I left without informing you. I'm sorry, Mama. But I'll be back in two days, I promise. I've gotten a job, and they've provided me with a flat for now.

Akshara: But Abhira, are they okay with your degree?

Abhira: I don't know, Mom. In the interview, they tested my knowledge with all the scenario questions and everything. I passed with 100%. But I don't know what they will do. I checked their workers' degrees, and they are from top and expensive colleges.

Akshara: Don't worry. Everything will be fine. God bless you, and you will definitely impress everyone. After all, you are my daughter.

Abhira: I love you, Mama.
