HE HAD ALWAYS WONDERED WHY SHE HAD TWO DIFFERENT EYE COLORS. As a cat, she held golden coins as eyes. They exuded the greatest sheen of canary yellow that he'd ever seen. They had debates before about whether or not her eyes were more gold than his hair. The debate never saw a clear answer.

But now, standing in front of the person who'd given her those golden eyes in the first place .. it was clear his was more divine than the trademark of the Minamoto family.

There was something about the air of Rhesus .. the way he carried himself, the way he spoke .. it was clear he was once of true nobility and without a doubt what people would have considered a hero back then.

"I suppose it's rude to continue calling her Nyx in the presence of the person who gave a name to my child. After all, she received that name many lives ago. I assume I should call her Nora as well. Nora the stray .. even though Natsuki Nora does no longer exist in this present, she will exist here in the void that houses everything lost." The man chuckled, stroking the top of her head.

Teru looked around.

He recognized the pitch blackness.

They were in Nora's void. The same never ending barren wasteland of nothingness that earned her the title, the Witch of the Void. She who presumed the destitute devoid substance of the dark.

How he had gotten here was without a doubt a mystery to him, considering just moments ago, he was with his mother and father who were shouting things at him in concern .. but the white noise that irritated his brain greatly tuned them out.

Naturally .. Teru reached his hand out to his witch that was just right in front of him in arms reach.

Even in her sleep she looked like she was plagued with grief.

"I'd advise you not to do that. You'll wake her." His fingertips halted a mere centimeter away from touching her cold skin, enough to feel the frigid temperature that emanated from it. Teru retracted his touch, clenching his fist. "Is this .. a nightmare that I'm having right now? To be able to see her like this, but not talk to her or even touch her. This is all a mockery." His expression was inconsolable.

"Unfortunately that would be my doing." He admitted with a small smile, looking up at the boy who now sat in a polite manner. "Could it be that you rose from the dead to punish me because I hadn't asked for your blessing?" Teru raised his hand to ask.

Now, Rhesus blinked a few times, dumbfounded. "Pardon?"

"Don't mind me." Teru waved his hand dismissively, looking away.

The boy sighed and then toppled over onto the ground, becoming one with the floor, haggard. He was overstimulated and exhausted and finally, was able to breathe just for a moment while he was stuck in a somewhat familiar place in front of a somewhat familiar person, at least a person he knew bore no ill will towards him.
