"SHOULD WE ... GO ON A DATE, NORA?" The blonde calmly smiled as he clasped his hands together, slipping off the blue light glasses that'd been resting on the bridge of his nose. The witch dropped her stick of pockey and looked at him with a curious glance. "Do you not see the stack of papers on your desk?" There were packets upon packets of them, different requests of students, requests of staff, budget bills, and so on.
In other words .. he was swamped.
"Akane will cover them for me."
"Akane is currently doing another errand you sent him on."
Teru paused and realized the error in his judgement. "I thought going on a date would make your mood better." He chuckled with a dejected sigh, sulking incoherently that the proposition had been shot down. In truth, Nora didn't mind going .. but she also didn't want Teru to fall any further behind. It would be troublesome if he did.
"You should worry about yourself more." The witch had been sitting on the window sill, her most ideal spot where she played with mokke who liked getting their head patted by her, only to run off after Teru glared at them for a bit too long. "I like worrying about you, it's calming." He chuckled as she made a sour expression.
"I hate worrying about you, it stresses me out." Nora mumbled in reply, looking away from him. Her fingertips pushed open the window a bit and reached out for a maple leaf that was beginning to drift towards her. "So .. you're in a bad mood because you're worried about me and it stresses you out?" He pointed at himself, almost sounding like a happy child who'd been praised for good work.
"Next question." She picked up a book from the desk beside her — it was a book about electrostatic physics. He noticed she'd oddly been into physics as of late. Nora was generally academically gifted, likely a perk of being alive long enough to having gone through schooling several times already. "Hm .. will you go on a date with me?"
"I will — when there aren't any problems going on." She shrugged.
His expression brightened. "You like the aquarium, don't you?" Teru's cerulean blue eyes twinkled as she begrudgingly nodded, keeping her face hidden from inside the pages of formulas. "Is it because you're a cat and cat like fish?"
Nora threw the book at him as he caught it single handedly. "If you have time to talk you have time to sign those papers."
The exorcist laughed heartily, nodding his head. "Alright, alright. One more question."
She raised a brow, prompting him to ask said question. Teri rested the side of his face on his knuckle with a soft smile. "Are you still in a bad mood?" Nora tried to cover the smile on her face. As much as she wanted to nod, instead, she shook her head with a sigh, hiding away between her knees.
"You have to take me to the aquarium, Teru."
"Of course I will. I'll make all the problems go away."
