Days turned into weeks, and weeks into a month, yet Boddo remained unconscious. The pall of worry deepened within the Gidado family, affecting each member in unique ways. Kamal was almost always at the hospital, his dedication to Boddo unwavering. Datti tried to share the burden, but Minal's jealousy and resentment constantly created friction.
Kamal sat by Boddo's bedside, his eyes filled with a mix of determination and exhaustion. The hospital room had become his second home. The steady beeping of medical monitors was a constant backdrop to his silent vigil.
"Why won't you wake up, Boddo?" Kamal whispered, gently holding her hand. "I need you to come back to us. I need you."
Meanwhile, Datti tried his best to although Alh. Gidado asked the females in the family to take care of but Maman Nana never wanted to, and Nana has been prevented by her husband because of his sister Minal. And Ardo is yet to come from the village as he decides to show up only when she regains her consciousness. Kamal is the one taking care of her mostly if he needs to change something the female nurse is always available to support him.
Even Dr. Gidado is amazed by Kamal he's proving to be more deserving than her so called husband Datti even though he often stops by to check on Boddo. However, Minal's persistent presence and her disapproval complicated things.
One afternoon, as Datti entered the room, Kamal looked up, his eyes weary but grateful.
"How's she doing?" Datti asked although he knew the answer.
"The same," Kamal replied, his voice tinged with frustration. "She hasn't moved an inch."
Minal, standing in the doorway, scoffed. "Maybe it's time to accept reality, Datti. She's not waking up."
Kamal shot her a glare. "You have no idea what you're talking about, Minal. She's a fighter. She'll wake up."
The situation grew even tenser whenever Manga was around. His claims that he would marry Boddo as soon as she woke up sparked heated arguments.
One particularly tense evening, Manga stood in the hallway, arms crossed defiantly. Datti, already on edge, confronted him.
"You need to stop this nonsense, Manga," Datti said, his voice low and dangerous. "Boddo is my wife."
Manga sneered. "She was your wife, Datti. And she would have been happy with me if you hadn't messed everything up. When she wakes up, she'll be mine."
Kamal, hearing the commotion, stepped out of the room. "This isn't the time or place for this, Manga," he said, his voice cold and controlled. "Right now, all that matters is Boddo's recovery."
The hospital staff couldn't help but notice the frequent arguments and tension between the brothers. Gossip among the nurses painted a vivid picture of the family's internal strife.
"Do you think she'll ever wake up?" one nurse whispered to another as they passed Boddo's room.
"I don't know," the other replied, glancing at the somber scene inside. "But that family has a lot of unresolved issues. It's like watching a drama unfold."
Despite the ongoing tensions, there were moments of hope. Kamal never stopped believing that Boddo would wake up. Every day, he talked to her, read her favorite books, and played music she loved, hoping to reach her through the haze of unconsciousness.
