Karlie's Kookies

[Karlie's POV]

After our shower, I did not bother to get dressed. I just grabbed my phone and my robe then went to the kitchen to bake some chocolate chip cookies. Toni, opened her laptop and sat on the bed.

I checked my phone. Still no messages or missed calls. I put the phone on the kitchen counter. Then I searched for two bowls. I combine flour, salt, and baking soda, then set the first bowl aside. I then beat butter and eggs with vanilla extract in another bowl.  I then combined the ingredients of the two bowls. I spread out spoonfuls of cookie dough in a baking sheet and put them one by one on an oven.

When the cookies were baked, I called Toni. While we are eating we started to talk. I told her that Taylor still not replying to my messages and that her team stepped up their game. I told her how I feel hurt about all these. Toni then said, "I might sound bias here Kar, but seriously, who would want their relationship to be affected like this? She just said that you two needed a long break?! After your 'little argument' or 'short breakup' last time I did not expect her to call it off again. You accepted their proposal to hide your relationship for her own career sake! I know that your team also do the same PR stunt with you and Josh but her PR Team doesn't care about you! About what you feel! Does she really loves you like you do? You always support her. You does not deserve to be taken for granted. You always excitedly look forward to hanged out with her again after long week of not seeing each other! Does she even missed you?"

I replied, "You know you're right. Now that I think about it, last time, I went to her concert just to see her. To be with her onstage. I even called our other friends to join us. In order for us to be on the same fucking event! I thought we'll be okay after that day but I'm not sure what happened next. I just realized myself agreeing again to their PR Stunt. They took photos of me joining them on a boat. And it turns out, I am the fifth wheel on a double date! Ironic isn't it? I feel like Taylor has been trying to shrug me off and try her very best to distant her image from me!" 

I did not know that I am now crying. Toni wipes off the tears that starts to fall from my eyes.

[Toni's POV]

I control myself not to get mad at that fucking bitch girlfriend of my Karlie. The main reason why Karlie and I broke up, is because when they met, I knew that Karlie's love for me was replaced by her love for Taylor. So I decided to let her go to make her happy. I distant myself to her and tried to search for someone who can also replaced her in my heart. But I failed. No one could ever replaced Karlie in my heart. I know that Karlie doesn't know the real reason of our breakup. She probably knew that we broke up because we both fall out of love with each other and we decided to just stay as good friends forever. Now that I am seeing her hurt like this, I don't know if I could let her go again, away from me after this.

I wipe away all the tears falling from Karlie's eyes then said, "Babe you will find somebody else that you deserves the best. Taylor has to much worries and fears in her life. You are worth more than her career. She always shrug you off! How can someone do that to the one person that was there and always picked her up when she was down??! She had become the strong woman last year because of you. You had a great impact in that transformation. She gained more respect from her fans after that! It wasn't just a coincidence! It was the result of your love and support for her! You always support her emotionally and physically!"

I wiped all her tears away. She closed her eyes to stop her tears from welling up again. I took that opportunity to kissed her closed eyes, then I kissed her nose and eventually her lips. We stopped kissing each other when my phone rang. I answered my phone as Karlie stood up and starts washing the dishes.
