Hello! This is a Bridgerton fanfic between my original character and Benedict Bridgerton. My character Juniper and anyone in her family is all created by me. I do not own the Bridgerton name or where it takes place!

Juniper Marie Smith- Carlson
Also goes by June or Junebug
countess • Yorkshire England
reading • playing the piano • horse riding
Mother is Mary Carlson
Father is Jonah Carlson
Her husband was Maxwell Smith; deceased. Sadly, Juniper had experienced the loss of a loved one. They thought he would heal over time, but he didn't.
Aunt named Jennifer, her father's sister, deceased
Her uncle is Joseph, her father's brother, younger than her father
A cousin named Samantha, since Juniper and Samantha were the only children, even though they were cousins, they were always close. They grew up together, and after Juniper's husband passed away, Samantha was there for her through thick and thin. Samantha was there for her throughout the mourning.

Juniper possesses long, blonde hair that reaches nearly to her waist. While she occasionally styles it in an updo, she frequently lets it flow down. Her dark green eyes exhibit a captivating lightness when exposed to illumination. Juniper's preferred attire consists of a dark blue dress that complements her complexion, although she also occasionally dons a dark green dress that harmonizes with her eye color. Standing at a height of 5'4", she is slightly shorter than the average individual.

During Juniper's upbringing, she was the sole child in her family due to her parent's inability to conceive more children. Initially, they doubted they would ever have a child, so Juniper was considered a miraculous blessing. Since her infancy, she exuded constant happiness and wore a perpetual smile. Her parents arranged for several governesses to provide her education within their household. Despite being an only child, Juniper never felt lonely because she formed a strong bond with her cousin, who understood the experience of being an only child as well. Their connection grew so deep that it resembled that of sisters. Juniper would readily abandon any activity, including leaving a ball, to be by her cousin's side.

Throughout Juniper's formative years, she had a dedicated governess who taught her the fundamentals until Juniper no longer required her guidance. Even after the governess returned to her home in France, Juniper continued to maintain correspondence with her. Whenever Juniper needed someone to confide in, someone other than her mother or cousin, she would write to the governess, who was always receptive and took pleasure in their exchange of letters. As the time for Juniper's entry into society drew near, she started feeling anxious. She worried about the unknowns that awaited her and whether she would find love in her life.

When Juniper entered society, she experienced the typical nervousness that many young girls feel. However, everything changed when she attended a ball shortly after her debut. It was there that she met Maxwell, and they instantly fell in love, a feeling Juniper had never experienced before. From that moment on, she knew she wanted to spend her life with him. They courted for a while until Maxwell finally proposed, and within a month or two, they were married. They enjoyed a happy life together for a few years, attempting to start a family, but unfortunately faced difficulties conceiving. Tragically, Maxwell fell ill and despite initial hopes for his recovery, his condition worsened, leading to his passing. Juniper mourned deeply for an extended period, although she cannot recall the exact duration. To this day, she carries a profound longing for him, frequently visiting his grave and adorning it with roses, the first flower he gave her during their courtship. Over time, her tears have subsided, and she has begun to smile more, reminiscent of her childhood joy. Yet, she still deeply misses him. Before Maxwell's passing, he expressed his wish for Juniper to find happiness with someone else and start a family. He only wanted her to be happy. Juniper currently resides in their shared home in Yorkshire, accompanied by maids and footmen. She often spends time with her parents and cousin, seeking solace in their company. The fear of loving someone again haunts her, as she is reluctant to experience such heartache once more. Nevertheless, she remains open to the possibility that someone may help her overcome this fear and find happiness once more.
