Manan: Contract Marriage

The routine of her not coming home keep on continuing for two three days. Manik has enough of it. Manik today, purposefully gives Nandini work as to have conversation with her. Nandini will avoid him as much as possible in the office.

After finishing her work, Nandini comes out of the office only to be pulled in car.

Nandini blacks out for a minute and comes in her sense only to see Manik in her other side. She heaved a breathe of relief.

" Mr. Maholtra, why did you pull me like this..? " Nandini questioned Manik. But Manik keep quiet and concentrate in driving.

" Mr. Maholtra.." Nandini asked again irritated as he is not replying to her. After sometime they reach Maholtra Mansion. Manik dragged Nandini inside the mansion.

" What is your problem..? " Manik shouted at Nandini after closing the door so other cannot listen their conversation. Nandini become confused for a second as what she did now..? Before Manik clarify her confusion.

" You did this marriage only for money. I hope I am paying you well. You need to know this marriage is purely contract based. Stop acting like I am cheating on with you someone else. Even if I am cheating on you with someone else I think there shouldn't be any problem to you. As I have already clarified you that this marriage is going to be purely contract marriage. Do what you are here for..? Don't you dare spend night outside the house.. It will be not good for you.." Manik holds her shoulder in anger and jerks her.

" Yes I did this marriage for money, Manik. But why you will never understand it Manik. You never try to know me.." Nandini gives Manik sad smile.

" Don't do these type of drama I am not going to melt in. For what so ever reason you have done this marriage. I don't care. " Manik replied with I don't care attitude.

" Manik, do this marriage is purely contract based for you..?  Does it held any importance in your life.." Nandini gain courage to ask this question. " Don't you feel anything for these marriage.." Indirectly she is asking if he feels anything for her. Manik got the hint.

" No, don't be in your delusional world. I show you care as humanity nothing apart from these.. Hope your confusion is cleared.." Manik replied to her question directly looking in her eyes.

" Then why did you care if I stay outside the house, Manik..? " Nandini asked him.

" Because I don't Grandma to know the truth about our marriage. Hope, you remember there is Grandma spy in this house.." Manik replied to her confidently. Ofcourse, she remember he did this marriage only to keep her happy.

The hope that was building in her heart breaks into pieces. She thought he really cares for her. Right she is numb. Her thinking capability stopped.

" I just have one request hope you will consider it.. " before he could deny she added.. " Can you please not be in relationship with anyone till our relation ends please.. It's a request please.."  Nandini requested him in a best possible way. She wants to end it in a good note. Manik just nodded his head but didn't reply to her.

After Manik left the room, Nandini falls in ground with thud. She cries her heart out. She was fool to think that she means something to him even though he has clarified her time and again.
