Twelve hours. That's how long i've been waiting in the Burrow. Twelve hours since Fred and the rest of the Weasley's left, and since i shared my news with him. Staring at the ring finger on my left hand i add one more thing to that list. Twelve hours since i got engaged.

I heard the crack of someone arriving outside. I take off running to find Ginny standing all alone outside. "Ohmygosh your alright!" I scream wrapping my arms around her. I've always loved Ginny like a sister, and soon enough that's what she will be.

"The wars over. We've won." She says giving a small smile. Looking at her i can tell how hard it was to see what she must have seen. Following Ginny, Mrs. Weasley appears. She runs up to me and wraps me into a hug. "I'm so sorry dear, i'm sorry." She cries into my shoulder. Ron appears next and pulls her off of me and leads her inside giving me a meek smile. Ron's the only one of the Weasley's I don't really know. Even though he's only two years younger than me, i just never really had the opportunity to meet him. He was usually off with Harry Potter saving the wizarding world.

Ginny disappears inside following her mother and Ron.

Something was wrong, I could tell. They weren't telling me something, and none of the others were back yet. I take off at a jog towards the burrow door praying that i'm wrong. That nothings happened at all and the effects of what they've just witnessed is the only reason for their behavior.

"Ginny, go take mum upstairs." I hear Ron's voice say as I reach the door to the house. I walk into the kitchen to see Ron sitting at the table with his head in his hands.

"What's happened?" I whisper sitting across from Ron.

He mutters into his hands for a minute before looking up at me. "I don't know if i should be the one to tell you."

i gasp, my hands covering my mouth. It feels as if the winds been knocked out of me and I can hardly see through all the tears forming in my eyes. "please, please tell me he's not..."I say not even being able to speak the last word i'm thinking of.

He just closes his eyes nodding his head before speaking. "Fred died." He whispers.

I break down then, the tears flowing freely from my eyes. Feeling to weak to even move I crumple in my chair. After some time I feel arms supporting me and leading me upstairs. Instead of bringing me to the room I had been sharing with Ginny this summer, I was brought to Fred and George's room and laid in Fred's bed. I laid in his bed as the door was closed as whoever brought me up here, Ron most likely, left.

Burying my face in the pillow i could still smell him. Looking at the ring on my finger made me cry harder. The worst though, was the realization that in eight months, i would be having Fred's child. A child he would never get to know or love.
