*Hadrian Potter*

I barely opened the door to the house when something large and heavy collided with my chest and I crashed to the ground painfully as whatever was standing over me growled menacingly.

"Ow," I winced before blinking my eyes open to see a griffin standing over me still growling.

"Don't move child," I heard Salazar over the growling but I ignored him as I smiled.

"Easy kitty," I said softly smiling as I raised my hand slowly not wanting to have my hand ripped off but knew if I moved slowly I wouldn't get attacked. "I'm a good guy not going to do anything bad."

"Potter," Tom said but I ignored him as the griffin sniffed my hand before it growled again as it moved back.

"It's okay," I said not speaking to anyone as I slowly pushed to my feet still holding a calming hand out. "We're friends."

"Smell like friend," a female voice said floating through my head and I grinned at the familiar feeling I normally only got when Hedwig spoke to me. "Last wizard was evil."

"I'm not evil," I said dropping my hand. "Me and my friend are trying to help stop a war from restarting."

"Old master tried," the griffin said with a sad tone. "He died with snake friend. I protect home wait for master to return."

"I have a snake friend," I said gesturing to Tom who suddenly looked terrified and I swallowed back my laugh. "We have Salazar Slytherin with us."

  "Snake friend?!"

"Yes, snake friend," I said. "He said to find Godric's portrait. You've been protecting him haven't you?"

"You new master," she exclaimed. "I keep old master safe. He say new master would come."

"He did?" I asked confused as I glanced at Tom who looked at me like I was crazy before I felt myself being pushed towards the front door. "Woah..."

"Come new master," the griffin said as she pushed me inside with her head I stumbled over the doorframe before I got my feet under me and I looked around and was surprised at the cabin in the woods the inside of the mansion had. "Old master here. I keep safe."

I walked down the small entryway to an arched doorway walking through I gasped at the huge room that was decorated in red and gold colors and like Salazar's mansion that was decorated with snakes this one was decorated with just as many lions. Scanning the room I was in awe before my attention was drawn to the large portrait that was hung above the fireplace, walking over I studied the portrait of Godric Gryffindor wielding a sword that I recognized as the Gryffindor sword. Pulling my eyes away from the portrait I glanced at the rest of the fireplace mantel and saw a bunch of wooden figurines that I recognized as different creatures but there were more lions and snake figures than anything else.

"Lion protect the snake," I whispered to myself starting at the more detailed figurine of a lion with a snake wrapped around its torso but the snake's head was hidden under the lion's mane.

"Snake friend help master," the griffin said and I looked over to her seeing her staring up at the portrait. "Both die together. Raven friend and badger friend try to help."

  "What happened?" I asked curious.

"Human monster hurt them," she growled. "Human do nothing. Cause pain."

"Humans hurt other people when they don't understand something," I said knowing the pain she was expressing. "But me and my snake friend are going to stop anyone from dying like that again. I promise."

  "New friend?"

"Yeah we can make new friends," I smiled before turning my attention back to Godrics portrait and shrinking it so I could carry it outside where Tom was still standing. "Found it."

"You didn't activate the spell," Salazar said.

"Yeah no," I said. "I'm not very good at Latin pronunciation and I'd rather not screw it up."

"Most spells are in Latin and that is supposed to be taught before you start school," Salazar exclaimed angrily.

"It probably is but I was raised by magic-hating muggles and I had no idea magic existed until was eleven," I said. "Also it is kind of hard to learn a new language when you are being put in life-or-death situations every month."

"Sorry," Tom apologized and I glared at him.

"Quit apologizing," I sighed. "Have of those situations had nothing to do with you or Voldemort. Anyway, we should probably head home before they send a search party out for us. We can wake up Godric when we get home."

  "Where is home?" Salazar asked.

"Potter Manor," I said. "Its my family's home that we have only been living in for two week?"

"One week," Tom said. "A lot has happened and it feels longer but its only been a week."

"Dying, coming back to life two years before dying, escaping abusive family, blood inheritance test, finding a new home," I counted. "Yeah it is a lot but we are changing things for the better. Lets go home."

"Hold," Tom said as he held his hand out to me and I grabbed it as I braced myself for the familiar horrible feeling of apparating. "We are home. Are you alright?"

"Fine," I whispered as everything continued to spin for a moment before I no longer felt like I was going to throw up.

"You do not look fine," Salazar said.

"Like I said before magic travel does not agree with me," I said handing Tom Godric a portrait. "Moony should be here now so I'm gonna go look for him."

"I'll set these up in the sitting room," Tom said and I nodded before taking off up the stairs to see if Moony was up there.

After not finding him in his room or the library room I headed back downstairs to the kitchen but stopped when I saw the cellar door was open so I headed down the stairs curious cause I hadn't explored the cellar yet and as soon as I hit the last step I heard familiar muttering coming from another open door. curious and confused I walked over to see Moony walking around a faintly glowing orb and muttering to himself.

  "Moony?"
