(Art by me. It's a little rough and maybe a bit cringe, but fuck you. Drawing hard. Make one yourself if it's so bad.)
_______________________________________(Y/n) was silent as Erik led him back to the bar. The (h/c) couldn't help feeling... bad for him.
Don't get him wrong, he still didn't want to be married to a corpse... but leaving Erik that way just didn't feel right. He'd have lost his fairytale ending once again, and (Y/n) wasn't sure if he could take it from him like that.
...
Maybe (Y/n) could find out what happened to his love.
They say the dead only stay behind because they have unfinished business. Finding the mystery woman and telling her what happened to her groom... that may just be what Erik really needed to finally rest.
(Y/n) tilted his head as Erik suddenly came to a stop. There, right in front of the bar, was an undead woman (Y/n) didn't remember previously being inside the bar when he had first awoken.
She was in fairly good condition compared to most of the other corpses the (h/c) had seen. In fact, she nearly looked alive.
"Rosa."
The acknowledgement was emotionless. "Rosa" crossed her arms.
"Erik. I heard about your engagement."
Hazel eyes briefly glanced in (Y/n)'s direction, her expression filled with something akin to a mother's disappointment. The young man shrunk under that intense gaze.
"It's not an engagement. We're already married."
Eirk's grip on (Y/n)'s arm tightened to an almost painful degree.
"Is that so?"
Rosa tapped her fingers on her arm, eyes flitting between the two men.
"Yes."
There was a testing glare in Erik's eye.
"Well, based on what I've read on marriage... that simply cannot be."
(Y/n) could feel tension building, and Erik was visibly becoming upset.
"You see, the vows of marriage last 'until death do us part.' Isn't that fascinating?"
The (h/c) froze. If that were true... then he was free to go. Erik held no real power over him.
Rosa smirked cockily, her chestnut hair lightly tussling in a rogue breeze.
"Death has already parted you."
All emotion left Erik's face once more, his grip loosening ever so slightly.
"..."
The woman scoffed.
"Didn't you hear me? Your 'marriage' is a sham."
"That can easily be fixed."
(Y/n)'s eyes widened at the same time as Rosa's. The hand around (Y/n)'s arm tightened again, almost threatening to break it. A pale-blue eye filled with darkness gazed down at him.
The smile on Erik's face was practically deranged.
"You can do that, can't you? For our happiness."
The (h/c) didn't even have to ask what he meant by that when the corpse pulled a hunting knife from his suit pocket.
Immediately, (Y/n)'s heart began pounding in his chest.
"It'll only hurt for a moment."
