Prisha
"Sure, Aunty. Can we see her picture?" Prisha's question made their faces go pale and they looked at me maybe hoping for me to reject the idea but I nodded my head supporting Prisha's statement. They started to look here and there as they didn't expect us to act this cool and I am sure they didn't have any photos. How can they have a picture of a girl who doesn't even exist?
"Woh..Woh you know the girl's mom said she will send the picture in a while. But Adi don't you have anyone in your life? Someone you like and want to share your life with?" Maa made an excuse and asked a question before we could cross-question her. I decided to let it pass and looked at Prisha before turning back to Maa.
"For now, I am planning to have a bunny in my room, I can cuddle her to sleep and wake up in her embrace, with whom I can do much more than that," I said looking at Prisha whose cheeks turned a beautiful shade of pink as she realized I was talking about her. Our mothers on the other hand looked at me like I had gone nuts.
"Leave this idiot. Prisha beta, you tell me. Don't you feel like having someone in your life?" Maa turned to Prisha with hearty eyes hoping she would confess but my darling's sweet smile said otherwise.
"I actually want a superhero for myself Aunty. Someone who can make me feel safe, someone who can protect me from danger, I want to be in that Super Hero's presence 24/7, with his eyes focused on me even when we are in the middle of the crowd, I want him in my room," I cocked a brow at her last statement and she looked away with a shy smile when she realized what I was thinking making me chuckle internally.
"I think this girl has gone mad after that kidnap fascia, I should get her checked," Aunty talked to herself while Prisha stifled a giggle, pressing her teeth into her lower lip, making me want to lose control.
"I can still understand her, Ragini. My child is in trauma but look at my good-for-nothing son. Biwi laane ki Umar me janab ko bunny se khelna hai," Maa slapped her forehead making me laugh which I covered up with a cough seeing her glare at me.
(Sir wants to play with a bunny at the age of getting married,)
"Aunty, check your phone na. Did that girl's mother send her picture?" Prisha's question made Mumma avert her glaring eyes from me as she groaned cupping her face before facing Prisha with a sarcastic smile.
"No. And now I decided to reject that proposal. I want someone else to marry Adi," Mumma gritted out glaring at both of us. She looked so done with both of us and I wanted to laugh out loud at her expressions but controlled myself.
"Who Maa?" I asked with fake enthusiasm. Prisha kicked me under the table making me yelp. I looked at her and she was already glaring at me.
"Prisha and you both are getting married the next Muhurat available," Mumma declared leaving our mouths hanging open.
"Aunty but," Prisha started but was cut off by her mother.
"What? Neither of you have anyone in your life and are of marriage age. You are getting married and that's final!" Both the ladies glared at us. I could imagine smoke coming out of their ears and their heads turning red as they show in the movies.
"Bathade?" I looked at Prisha with a raised brow and she nodded her head, biting her lip to control herself from bursting out. I got up from my place and walked to her. She placed her hand in mine and got up from her place. I pulled her closer and showed our intertwined hands in front of our mothers who were looking at us like we were some aliens.
(Let's tell them?)
"Dear mothers, we actually love each other. We wanted to tell it to you and take your blessings but you started your plotting and we had to show who we are," I wrapped a hand around Prisha's neck. Her cheeks turned red due to blushing while our mothers turned red in anger.
