"Ahh...ahh..leave me alone..let me go, please...AHHHH...." Screaming of a woman echoed through dark alley.
“ Welcome to 'morning news' , last week's missing case "kim sohyunie" has found dead at the alley downtown this morning. It is the sixth case that girls missing and found dead at the alley within the week. The police are still investigating of the cases connection. The police are aware of men not go to out in midnight time and if someone finds any suspicious person nearby your house or anywhere, please inform the police immediately”
Vroom..vroom..vroom, on road, car moving. Some people are moving their things to apartment... Jennie's carrying a box with a bunch of books in the elevator, and she tries to press the button.
Suddenly a voice says, "Which floor are you going to?" It's a deep husky male voice, she turns around following where the voice came from. A tall and handsome man standing there and looking at her.
"Huh, oh, it's 7th floor, thank you" she responds quickly.
"Same floor huh?" He said with a smirk.
Jennie slowly starts a conversation with him "So we're on the same floor, then we might be neighbours. I didn't really knew, I just shifted here today and I did not met anyone yet"
"Is that soo? Are you moving alone here?" He asked
"Apparently yes" she said, with a nervous smile.
"Hmm" he slowly responds.
"I guess he doesn't wanna have a conversation with me" Jennie mumbles at the lack of his response.
Ding...ding..the elevator door opens, they got out of it.
"Anyway, welcome to the new apartment..my lovely neighbour, very glad to meet you" he said with a small smile on his face.
Maybe I judged him too quickly. Jennie thinks she misjudged him. So she replies with a sweet smile. "Glad to meet you too, see you around!!"
It's good to have a handsome neighbour. Oh! I forgot to ask his name. Jennie chuckled with a smile. And thought that they would get more time in future to introduce themselves, they're neighbours anyway. Knock..knock..a delivery man knocking the door.
"Miss this is the last item, I'll leave it by the corner" said the delivery man.
"Yes sure, thanks for the help." Said Jennie. Then, the delivery man left after putting her items as she instructed. Jennie's looking around her new apartment and said to herself— surely got many things to arrange, huh! Thank god tomorrow I off work.
The next morning...hah Jennie was really tired after arranging all the stuffs. She was hungry by now.
"Let's see what we got to eat" oh god, she had only some snacks. I repeat again..Only snacks and snacks. She needs to buy some groceries for sure and fill up the refrigerator but she didn't knew where the grocery store was.
Jennie was back to korea spending all her teenage at newzealand and she don't remember having many friends here anymore. Nevermind, she decided to use the mobile map to reach there.
She was getting ready for grocery store and get out of her apartment. When closing her apartment door, she saw the man, the neighbour who helped her yesterday at the elevator also standing there..
Hmm, what a coincidence.
Both made a eye contact then Jennie slowly greeted him with a warming smile "Good morning!"
He greeted her back "Good morning, are you going out now?" He asked checking her out.
"Yes, I'm going to the grocery store. Are you going out too?"
"Wow, that's great.. I was also exactly going to the grocery store. Are you going alone or with someone else?" He asked as if he was curious to know her reply.
Why he was asking many things today? Yesterday he was like "no time to talk" Jennie thought.
But still she manages to reply him "Nope, I'm going alone. You know I don't have many friends here"
"If you don't mind, I can give you a drive to grocery store" he offered "Sure, thanks. We're going the same way by the way"
Jennie is waiting at the entrance of her apartment, as he drives his car and let her get into it. She felt awkward to be in silent during the drive. So she ended up trying to listen to the radio.
"Uhm do you mind if I turn on the radio" she asked to ease the awkwardness.
"Sure, I'll help you turn it on"
"Thank you so much"
Then the radio is on there playing the peaceful music.
"Oh wow, do you know this song? It's my favourite" Jennie said excitedly.
"Maybe I've heard it before. I quite don't remember, and I won't listen to music much. Here we come to the grocery store. I'll drop you here and park my car first"
"Sure I'll purchase the meats first, you can come and join" said Jennie. Jennie's go start purchasing the meats and decided to treat him as thanking him to drive her to the grocery store.
"So you're still choosing the meats huh?" Jennie saw him standing beside her and help her choosing the meats.
"Yeah, I need to treat a person who helped me to get her buy grocery items on time. So I need to buy a good quality meat to treat him right" Jennie said with a low-key smirk.
"Then I must definitely help you with this, haha"
After purchasing the groceries, both drove back to the apartment and were waiting for the elevator. Buzz..buzz.."Oh it's my phone...ok I'll be right back in 30 minutes, Yup ok, bye!" Ding...both of them entered the elevator. He did not speak until both reached upto their own apartment doors.
"Sorry. I can't have dinner with you. I got a urgent call from the work" he said sadly as Jennie was upset but it might be important for him.
"Hey it's alright. I'll treat you another time" said Jennie cheerfully.
"Thank you for understanding"
He leaves his grocery items into his own living room and was about to leave then..
"Wait a second please.."
He turned around, and saw Jennie still not getting inside "Yes..?"
"Sorry for holding you up, but can I know your name? We didn't introduce ourselves yet.." Jennie asked with a embarassed tone.
"It's V" he said with a sweet smile.
"V..? As in only letter V?" She couldn't help but feel weird about his name.
"Yuh just V" he told her, growing more impatient to leave.
"Hmm okay..? I'm Jennie kim, you can call me Jennie. Nice to know you V"
"Until then, bye Jennie.." V said his goodbye as Jennie nodded slightly going back into her apartment.
"I think I found my next prey..poor girl there's nothing nice to know about me" V murmured to himself, a small playful smirk not leaving his lips, as he exited the apartment..last time looking up to the 7th floor's window..
And watched Jennie's dark silhouette until he was satisfied and slowly yet reluctantly left the place.
