The battle between Ligma Sigmagami and L grew more intense with each passing day. Pomni Amogus, the second Kekira, had joined forces with Ligma, providing him with valuable support but also adding complexity to his plans. Ligma knew he had to be meticulous to keep his identity hidden while using Pomni's abilities to his advantage.
Pomni's devotion to Ligma was unwavering. "I'll do anything for you, Ligma," she often repeated, her eyes shining with admiration.
Ligma responded with a mix of calculation and charm. "Remember, Pomni, we must be careful. L is incredibly smart. We can't afford any mistakes. Don't act on your own, remember?"
One evening, Pomni expressed her frustration. "Ligma, I want to be with you more. Why can't we just get rid of L?"
Ligma sighed, understanding her impatience but knowing the gravity of the situation. "It's not that simple, Pomni. We need to outsmart him, not just kill him. If L dies under suspicious circumstances, it'll only draw more attention to us. What would the Task Force think if Ratiozaki died just after your appearance, huh?"
Meanwhile, L intensified his investigation. He was convinced that Kekira was someone close to the Task Force. In a private meeting with Digitaru Fortonaito Sigmagami and a few trusted members, L shared his thoughts.
"Digitaru Fortonaito, I believe Kekira is your son," L stated, his tone grave. "There's 45% chances that I'm right. We must be vigilant and consider every possibility."
Digitaru Fortonaito listened, his face stern. "We'll do whatever it takes to catch Kekira but there to say my son would be a killer? And 45%... you're not gonna base the whole investigation on some low-trust numbers, right?"
"I hope I'm wrong too. But Ligma is the best suspect I have... Argh. If he really is Kekira, it would be a pity... He's the only friend I've ever had..." L replied.
Unbeknownst to L, Ligma was carefully monitoring the Task Force's movements. Using his access to police information, Ligma managed to always stay a step ahead, manipulating events to his favor.
One day, Pomni, eager to please Ligma, acted on her own. She used her Skibidi Eyes to identify L's real name, intending to share this crucial information with Ligma. However, she clumsily followed L without enough care and was captured by the Task Force before she could do so.
"Ligma, they've taken me," Pomni whispered to Rembeast as the Task Force led her away.
Ligma clenched his fists after being informed by Rembeast, realizing the danger Pomni's capture posed. "Stay calm, Pomni. I'll get you out of this," he assured, though his mind raced with contingency plans.
Pomni was brought to the confinment room at the HQ where L and the Task Force began their interrogation. L, his face still hidden, questioned Pomni relentlessly.
"You're the second Kekira, aren't you?" L asked, his voice calm yet piercing.
Pomni, under pressure and without Ligma's guidance, faltered. "I-I don't know what you're talking about."
L's eyes narrowed. "Your responses and the evidence suggest otherwise. We'll continue this until we get the truth."
Desperate to protect Ligma and herself, Pomni called out to Rembeast, her Skibidi. Rembeast who had grown fond of Pomni, appeared before her.
"Rembeast help me!" Pomni pleaded. "I can't let them catch Ligma."
As an alternate solution, Rembeast eventually convinces Pomni, who had originally refused, not wanting to forget her love for Ligma, to give up ownership of the Death Chamba. Rembeast assures Pomni that her feelings for Ligma Sigmagami will not go away and that she will simply forget that Ligma is Kekira. Pomni gives up ownership of her Death Chamba and loses all her memories of it, being the Second Kekira, and having met the Kekira.
After losing her memories, and thus forth not sure as to how she got into her situation in the first place, she assumes that a stalker fan of her modeling work has kidnapped her and starts to talk aloud to convince "the stalker" to let her go. L and the Task Force think she is playing dumb, but eventually conclude that it is not an act...
Unable to obtain conclusive evidence against Pomni, the Task Force decide to release her. However, L remains suspicious and places Pomni under close surveillance, considering her coincidental appearance at the same time as the second Kekira.
Back at Ligma's house, Rizzyuk watched the events unfold with amusement. "You're walking a dangerous path, Ligma."
Ligma smirked. "I know, Rizzyuk. But it's necessary. I will become the god of the new world, no matter the cost."
Reunited, Ligma made Pomni touch her death Chamba for her to regain her memory. They reaffirmed their commitment to each other and their mission. "We need to be more careful," Ligma warned. "L is too close. We must find a way to eliminate him without arousing suspicion."
Pomni nodded, her determination matching Ligma's. "I'll do whatever it takes, Ligma. Just tell me what to do."
As Ligma pondered their next move, L continued to tighten the net around Kekira. He knew the game was far from over, and he was determined to expose Kekira's identity.
