THREE
To Make Hay While The Sun Shines

The sun was shining bright as I stood outside of the hotel entrance I was staying in. I was waiting for the rental car I had requested as I had someplace to go to before leaving for the airport in the afternoon, only bringing my phone and wallet with me.

Finally, I would be leaving this place.

I was going home to Jungkook.

For me, maybe leaving the city was the only way to forget the cognac brown-eyed vixen from yesterday, as even in my sleep last night, Jin was haunting me in my dreams.

Well, fuck.

Jungkook would have my balls if he found out I was having these thoughts about another man.

I scanned the normally busy streets of Rome, turning impatient. As I waited for a little longer, I saw Jin running towards my way like his life depended on it. When he almost passed by me at the entrance of the hotel, he squealed and grabbed my right hand, pulling me with him. We both ran together. For what? I didn't know. We ran past people swearing in Italian as we accidentally bumped into them, moving vehicles and bicycles, past cafes on the sidewalks, and two blocks across the streets without looking back. It seemed as if we were running for a few hours already, but in reality, we were just running for a few minutes at most. I was getting tired. i hated running. "W- Wait-"

But Jin continued to run, dragging me along and not allowing me to finish what I had to say. I was so puzzled and out of it, I could barely read the sign 'Roma Termini'. I was catching my breath while Jin was talking to two middle-aged men in rapid Italian, stashing a heap of euros into the man's open palms. He bowed gratefully as soon as the other younger man gave him two train tickets, thanking them.

"C'mon," Jin urged. That was my fourth mistake --- allowing Jin to drag me wherever with him without making any protest. "The train is leaving in twenty minutes."

I let Jin drag me past the security personnel who checked the validity of our tickets to someplace I didn't know of, when what I should have done was to stop this nonsense and go back to the hotel so I could go fly back to Seoul where Jungkook was waiting for me.

But I boarded the bullet train to Florence with Jin.

We searched for our seats and sat right across from each other, finally able to catch our breaths. I made a mistake of staring at Jin's sweaty and flushed face, which should be illegal, because he still looked gorgeous as fuck while drops of sweat riveted downwards from his temples to his cheeks and jaws. The rosy shade on his cheeks resulting from our recent marathon illuminated his perfect small face. Jin, unaware of my gaze, pressed the call button. One of the crew members immediately attended to us. He ordered refreshments, which I was glad he did as I was thirsty as hell. We didn't have to wait for long as the service was fast, and the two of us immediately grabbed the cold bottles of water and drank them gratefully.
