He was never mine, and I was someone else's.
If I could turn back time to the day I left him falling apart while I was being a coward, I would do so in a heartbeat. I would choose him without thinking of the repercussions of my decisions --- over and over. I would pack all of my belongings, or leave with nothing but my name and my heart, as long as I could be with him. Even to the ends of the earth. I would not let those tears fall and let him hear the opposite words I originally wanted to say.
I would choose my happiness, no matter how hard it was to get, over the comforting sense of familiarity.
But my chances were during the summer I became his.
It was a little too late for us perhaps.
Or no, if we were meant to be together the way we were meant to meet for the first time, then we belonged to each other.
I was always his ever since we met, and he was for no one else's.
I hoped we could go back to that fateful summer --- the summer I became yours.
