~~Storybrooke~~

When I got out of school I immediately got a call from Ruby. Curious, I answered, and what she told me made me ditch my plans to workout immediately.

I rushed to Granny's on my new skateboard, nearly eating the pavement once when a pebble stole the skate board from under me, but managed to not get too scraped up and continued on. When I got there I kicked up my board and rushed around the side of the building to the back entrance, eyes wide as I took in Ruby and Ashley hiding there.

"What are you two doing out here! Get inside!" I whisper yelled, leading them inside and to the bathroom. We all rushed in, quickly closing and locking the door behind us. I looked between them anxiously, "Did you get it?"

Ashley nodded, pulling out a folded piece of paper from her jacket pocket. "I did, but Ava he saw me!" She panicked, eyes welling with tears.

"You didn't just see him, you also attacked him!" Ruby hissed. My face paled and I rounded on the blonde. "You what?!"

"I panicked! I didn't want him to stop me, and he was definitely going to, so I sprayed him with pepper spray and knocked him into the glass counter!" She wailed quietly, the tears falling rapidly now.

"Oh so you really fucked up." I breathed, unintentionally panicking her further. I shook my head, placing my hands on her shoulders firmly. "But it's ok! We can protect you, or, what had you mentioned Ruby? Send her into hiding?"

"We'll have to do more than that; Gold sent Emma on her, so I sent her on a wild goose chase to give us time."

"He sent Emma?" I asked, quirking a brow. "Why not, I don't know, the police? Not that I want the police put on you Ash, but—"

"I get it," She said shakily, calming down slightly. "It doesn't make sense, but I'm glad for it. We can figure something out."

"Exactly, and we have to do that quickly. I sent Emma to Shawns house just before I called you." Ruby said, looking at me worriedly. "It won't take her long to realize what happened." "We'll have to get her out of town. Emma was a bailbonds person, remember? She'll be able to find you  if you stay here..." I thought or a moment before it hit me. "Ruby, is your car fixed now?"

Her eyes lit up at the realization and she nodded. "Can I use it to take Ashley to... I don't know, Boston? You can disappear there," I said, turning to Ashley who appeared calmer as we came up with a plan. "Maybe we'll have enough time to get there and get you to a hospital. You're due anytime now, right? And once you have your baby and we settle you down somewhere, I'll bring Ruby's car back."

They both agreed with the plan, and Ruby brought her car around to the back, taking out her wolf charm when she got out of her car. Ashley and I quickly got in, saying goodbye to Ruby, who said she'd cover for us, and drove off.

"You'll be just fine Ashley, I won't let anything happen to you. And you know Ruby will keep everyone distracted until the last moment." I said after a few minutes. When she said nothing I looked over, "Ashley?" Her face was scrunched up in pain, and I quickly looked down towards her legs— her water broke.

"Shit," I whispered, "Hold on Ashley, I'm gonna at least get you out of town." She groaned, "Do you think we'll make it?" I pursed my lips "I... I'm not sure. Every birth is different. But maybe yours will be long enough for us to find a hotel outside of town."

I sped up as we passed the last of the neighborhoods, knowing that we were close to the town line. Tree lines took over sidewalks, and a sense of unease filled me when I saw the town line in the distance. I had been in Storybrooke for as long as I could remember, and I had always had this weird fear of leaving. Like something bad would happen.
