"Andromeda!" Regulus screamed, "Mother hit Sirius with another crucio!"

Andromeda made her way over to her younger cousins hurredly. "Hey, listen. Let's calm down, alright?" She spoke calmly.

"He took it for me" Regulus cried, "He took the crucio for me."

"That was simply his choice" Andromeda reassured.

Andromeda moved to set Sirius in her lap and began stroking his hair. Regulus sat beside her and laid his head on her shoulder as he continued to sob quietly.

"Close your eyes" Andromeda sang, "Have no fear. The monster's gone, he's on the run and your cousin's here. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful boys."

As she continued singing the song, Regulus calmed down and stopped crying. Sirius was asleep on her lap and she continued stroking his hair.

"Thank you, Andromeda, for always being here and helping us," Regulus expressed.

"Reggie, you know I'll always be here. If I'm not, I want you to always sing the song and remind yourslef to stay grounded. Make sure that if you ever have kids or a kid in your life you care about, sing it and make sure they know you care," She insisted.

"I promise I always will," He said as he closed his eyes and fell asleep on her shoulder.

Little did either boy know that several years later they would both have a little boy they would care deeply about.

See, Sirius was best friends with James Potter, who would go on to have a little boy named Harry. Harry ended up orphaned at the age of one after his parents, James and Lily, were killed by the Dark Lord.

While the death of his best friend destroyed him, Sirius knew he had to step up for Harry. One day, when Harry came home from school, he was devastated after many kids made fun of him for not having parents.

Harry was absolutely inconsolable no matter what Sirius said.

Eventually, Sirius grabbed Harry and held him.

"Close your eyes" He sang, "Have no fear. The monster's gone, he's on the run and your uncle's here. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful boy."

Sirius continued singing the song and by the end Harry had calmed down and fallen asleep. That was the first of many times he would sing it to him.

While Sirius had Harry, Regulus had a boy he loved deeply as well.

This boy was his cousin Narcissa's son, Draco Malfoy.

Regulus was a very caring uncle to the boy and would often comfort him. Draco's father, Lucius, was a very abusive man.

The first time Lucius had hit Draco, Draco had went running to his Uncle Reggie. He was sobbing and Regulus could barely understand what had happened, but when he did, he was livid.

Regulus had tried comforting him, but Draco was so hurt it barely helped. He thought back on his promise to Andromeda and knew what his next steps would be.

Regulus sat down and laid Draco on his lap and began stroking his hair as Andromeda had done for him and his brother many times before.

"Close your eyes" Regulus sang to his nephew, "Have no fear. The monster's gone, he's on the run and your uncle's here. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful boy."

By the end of the song, Draco was much more calm, but didn't want to move from his place in his uncle's lap.

"Thank you, Uncle Reggie" Draco spoke first.

"Always, little one. If this ever happens again, come to me, okay?" Regulus responded.

"Yes, sir. I don't want it to happen again" He said in his young voice.

"Neither do I, however it may. Regardless, you can always come to me and I'll make sure everything is okay" Regulus reassured.

Draco didn't respond, instead he just layed there.

A few short years later, both boys would end up in Hogwarts. One may think they were friends, but it turned quite the opposite.

Harry followed in James and Sirius' footsteps and went to Gryffindor House. Draco followed in Lucius and Regulus' footsteps and went to Slytherin House. From the day they met, they were mortal enemies with way too many similar traits.

Both boys were on the school Quidditch team, each playing for their house.

One day, Harry wanted to go get flying practice in since he was a Seeker for his team. The only problem was how he was still a bit scared of heights.

When he made it to the field, there was no one there. He got on his broom and started flying low already feeling his anxiety spike. Eventually, he went back to the ground to calm himself.

As he sat on the ground, he began singing the song Sirius would always sing wen he was upset. Through his anxiety, he hadn't heard someone else walk in.

"Close your eyes. Have no fear" Harry sang to himself, "The monster's gone"

Draco, having had the same idea to practice, walked in. Instinctively, he joined Harry in singing.

"He's on the run and your uncle's here" Both boys sang together, "Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful boy."

They continued through the song to help calm Harry, but by the end they were staring at each other, confused as to why the other knew the song.

"Potter, where did you learn that song?" Draco immediately questioned.

"My Uncle Sirius always sang it to me. Why do you know it, Draco?" Harry fired back.

"My Uncle Regulus always sang it to me" He repsonded.

"Wait, our uncles are brothers" Harry pointed out.

"Whatever you're thinking, don't. I will not have any sort of a connection with a Gryffindor" Draco refused.

"Whatever, Draco, see you in class" Harry spoke as he walked off the field.

"Later, Potter" Draco called after him.

Unfortunately, they don't become friends after this. They do, however, hate each other a little less.

No matter what, their rivalry will never end, but they'll never let each other be hurt alone and will always comfort the other if needed.

They may not have been friends or cousins, but they were good people who would still be there for each other.

I'm sorry this took so long. Also, I did my best on this, so I am very sorry if it's not as good as you hoped. I have never written Harry Potter fanfiction before and I haven't actively been a fan for much time. I'm not the best writer, but I had fun making this and I hope you enjoyed it at least a little bit.

Any criticism is welcomed and would enjoy your feedback yo improve my writing. Thanks for reading and have a marvelous day!! :)
