"Okay, I'm off to get myself dick," Char left the room quickly with a smile, leaving before her sister even had a chance to respond.

Karo smiled, gently shaking her head as she made her way into the bathroom to prepare for bed. She didn't have much else to do.

Dean and Charlotte practically pleaded with her to join them, but the girl refused, opting to stay at the motel and catch up on the books she had been reading.

She placed her hairbrush gently over the bathroom counter as soon as she heard a faint knock at the door. Sam, she thought.

"Hi," he said with a grin as she opened the door. "Okay so, Dean and Charlotte are out, and I was thinking maybe we could watch TV together or do something else because we really don't have much else to do. Dean has the car, so we're pretty much stuck here. But if you don't feel like watching TV, I can just leave—"

Her giggle caught his attention, causing him to pause in the middle of his rambling. A handsome smile graced his face as he asked, "What?"

"Nothing," she laughed, mimicking his tone as she walked back to the bathroom and picked up her makeup wipes. "I just like it when you talk a lot."

"Yeah, right," he scoffed, striding over to the foot of the bed and plopping down, his gaze locked on her doing her makeup routine in the bathroom. He watched her, silently.

He couldn't help but admire her appearance. The plaid pajama pants hugging her hips, the tank top perfectly tailored to accentuate her figure, the way her silky, dark hair cascaded over her shoulders. His smile widened involuntarily.

Karolyn wasn't paying much attention to Sam as she turned on the faucet and began washing her face, the sound of running water filling the small bathroom.

"How much longer?" Sam's voice broke through the noise, laced with impatience.

"I'm almost done," Karolyn responded, glancing over at him briefly before finishing up. She dried her hands on a nearby towel, the fabric rough against her skin.

"Okay, c'mere," he said softly, patting the spot on the bed next to him.

Karo walked over to the bed, letting herself fall onto the bed but not the spot he'd patted. She preferred to sit up against the headboard.

"You avoiding me?" Sam's brows knitted together in confusion, half-joking.

"No, I'm just more comfortable over here," she sassed, her tone light and playful.

"Are you sure?"

"Sam," a soft laugh escaped the girl's lips.

"Just making sure," he shrugged, moving over so that he was next to her.

"You're really pretty," he sighed, his gaze fixed on her. It wasn't just any sigh, it was a dreamy sigh—like he had the opportunity to be in the same room as the most beautiful creature known to mankind.

Karolyn snorted, a playful smile spreading over her features. "Says you."

Sam smiled, practically melting into her touch as she brushed her fingers through his hair, moving it away from his face. He was used to this feeling by now—melting into her, practically falling at her feet—but this felt different.

This was real. Sure, all the other times were real too, but this wasn't like the other times. This was the result of months of being close, affectionate, gentle, and caring with each other.

This was the result of a continuous, mutual effort to hold back on labels and 'I love yous.'

"C'mere."
