Chapter 4

**matts POV and thoughts ***

I can't believe it . I'm still in shock ..... Like woah . I can't sleep knowing that's she's here . I feel so excited and scared .

I'm kinda shocked that she doesn't remember me . Well who would I bet I look a whole lot different with 100 pounds off my body . Yes I was a chunky kid .

I'm laying on the floor since I let Maria take my bed . I don't think you understand how much she means to me . I'm just don't know what to say ....

**** marias POV and thoughts ***

I can't sleep. Probably because Taylor is mumbling in this sleep and matt can't stop moving around on the floor

I also can't help but think one of those things are gonna come through the door and rip out my guts .

There's something about Matt . Not that I like him . I bet he's a sweet kid but I think that I know him from somewhere . I just can't put my finger on it .

I look out the window ... Or what's left of it since Taylor boarded it up . As I look outside It hits me . Where is family ? Are they dead or are they fine? The thought of my family screaming out for help made me start to cry . I tried to hold it in but I just couldn't . I cried softly but it was loud enough to wake up Matt. Matt bolts up
" Taylor is that you ?" Matt whispers
Taylor was sound asleep and responds with soft snore . I laugh a little cause the first person he thought would be crying was Taylor . Hey maybe he's emotional . I laugh a little and a few more tears come down
"Oh sorry did I wake you ?" I asked
"No not at all I couldn't sleep . Is everything alright Maria ? " Matt said while walking towards my bed .
I sit up " yeah I'm just worried about my family . I never really thought about it since now "
Matt sits on the side of my bed and hugs me " don't worry Maria you'll find them . I'm looking for my family too so we are on the same boat " he looks at me and smiles while he wiped away my tears

Matts hugs were very comforting and I felt safe in his arms . I just wanted him to hold me while I slept but that would be weird to ask .

He lets go and tucks me in to bed I felt like a little kid again
" you should get some rest Maria . We have a big day . "
