"When You're an Über Powerful Witch Man"
"So," Kai spoke up. "What I'm getting from this is that you're making a hybrid army specifically to murder your asshole of a dad?"
"Well when you put it like that-"
"That's actually pretty reasonable," Kai nodded and before Klaus could stop him, he stepped over to one of the hybrids. "Hi, I'm Kai. How does it feel being a werewolf and a vampire?"
The hybrid before him raised a brow.
"Kai, love. Let's not bother them," Klaus stepped up behind Kai and wrapped an arm around the eccentric man, pulling him away from the newly turned hybrid. Sure, he had trust in his mate, but he didn't trust that the hybrid wouldn't attempt to harm Kai. His eyes darkened at the thought of any harm befalling his witch.
"Are you thinking about murder?"
Klaus looked up at Kai's grinning face. "Somewhat."
"Awesome," Kai smiled wider as he wrapped his arm around Klaus' waist.
"You aren't like many other witches I've been acquainted with."
"Ugh," Kai groaned, rolling his eyes at the thought of witches, like those in his ‘family’. "I wouldn't want to be like them. They're so judgy."
"I completely agree with you there, love," Klaus smiled at Kai as the other man glanced around him, distracted by all of the bustling hybrids.
Kai focused his attention on Klaus as the man's phone began to ring. The Original used his free hand to pull his phone out of his pocket. He sighed and rolled his eyes before answering it.
"Portland is fantastic. Once you get over all the whiny music and healthy looking people, it is literally a breeding ground for werewolves."
Kai leaned closer so he could hear the conversation, knowing the person on the other end was Stefan Salvatore.
"Your father is dead."
Klaus tensed, any humor on his face disappearing as he heard those words. He slid his arm off of Kai, not wanting to accidentally harm his mate in a fit of rage. "What did you say to me?"
"Oh, my mistake. Not your actual father and not dead. Mikael. Daggered. What do you want me to do with the body?"
"Well, first I want you to explain to me exactly what happened."
"Mikael followed Elena into the Boarding House. He tried to grab her, so he could use her as bait. Damon and I managed to vervain him and we just so happened to have a dagger on standby. I think you know where I'm going with this."
