When the ceremony was over, I was reunited with my father, "I'm so happy for you, Moranna!" He said happily, though, I think he could tell I wasn't thrilled about the union. "It'll be okay, sweetheart. I promise."
"Why did they do this now?" I asked him, "I've only been a Reaper for six months. It doesn't make sense to pair me with someone now; and why did it have to be him?" He stared at me curiously for a moment, clearly wondering my meaning.
"Do you know him?" He asked; I didn't want to lie to him. I've been lying for a while now.
"No," I heard Beleth say behind me, making his way toward us. "I noticed her from afar and instantly fell in love with her. I just had to have her in my life." I watched as he shook my father's hand.
"I see." My father says to my new husband. "Well, then I wish you both all the happiness." I had to fight the urge to growl under my breath. Dad knew that meant that I was pissed, but I had to hide it; I had to make him think I'm happy with the arrangement.
"I hope we will be happy as well!" Beleth tells him. "Come dearest," he says as he turns to me, "it's time to go."
"Go?" I asked. Beleth nodded,
"We're going to visit my family and enjoy our honeymoon." He tells me. My eyes widen when I realize what he meant,
"We're going to Hell?" I practically screamed, gaining more attention than I really wanted. Beleth chuckled a bit and nodded,
"Yes, we are." He tells me. "We should head out soon, my best friend is dying to meet you." I hugged my father goodbye and took Beleth's hand as he took me away.
I guess I'm going to Hell. Yay...
It was barely a blink of an eye when we finally arrived in Hell. I was terrified of what was going to happen. I could feel the heat radiating over my body; I thought it would burn, being in Hell, considering I send the worst of the worst here and everyone says the phrase, you're going to burn in Hell, so why doesn't it feel like that to me?
Beleth smirked and pulled me along with him, "I want you to meet someone before we go home." Home? I thought. Is this really going to be home? "Don't worry," he says, "we're going to go back to the city, I promise. Alador still needs their Reaper." It still isn't making any sense though, why me? I wanted to ask, is this the favor he was talking about? Marrying him?
What's so special about me that a demon from Hell, and not just any demon, a prince of Hell, would want me?
As we walked through Hell, I was surprised to see how nice it seemed. "I thought this place was meant to torture people that come down here, but this seems nice." I tell Beleth. He chuckles as we walk the streets, passing by other demons,
"Well, most of us here are Hellborn." He explains, "Actual sinners, souls that you and other Reapers send here, they go lower, but the system is a lot better than mortals think." I raised a brow,
"What do you mean?" I asked, now even more curious,
"Well, Hell is based on levels. Levels one through four are more therapy levels, they're the ones who would get a chance to go back one day." I nod my understanding as we continue walking, "Levels five through ten, there's no chance for them to go back."
"Wow," I say, "that's definitely different than I thought." Beleth wrapped an arm around me,
"That's one thing I never understood about you humans," he says, "you all think of this place as awful, but it's really not."
"Yeah, I'm starting to see that." I tell him as we turn a corner. He opens a door and lets me go inside before stepping in front of me and beginning up some stairs. "So, who am I meeting?" I asked, a little scared of the answer.
"You'll see." Is all he tells me as we reach a door and he opens it.
I entered the room and was instantly pinned to the wall by Beleth, "What are you doing?" I asked. His hands traced my body, pressing himself against me.
"Before you meet this person," he whispers to me, "you need to see what I actually look like." Beleth pulls away slightly, staring into my eyes, "You're mine, Moranna, but you need to see the real me." He was right, I was his now; at least in the eyes of Hell and the elder Reapers.
I didn't utter a word. I nodded and watched as Beleth took a step back and began to shift before my eyes. He nearly doubled in height, his muscular frame towering over me with ease. I gulped as I looked him up and down, terrified of what might be hiding beneath those dark, tight pants.
"You can stare all you want, beautiful." He told me, making my face turn shades of red that honestly made me feel like I was getting sunburned. He allowed me a moment to take in his body.
Beleth was the epitome of every erotic paranormal romance book I ever read. I watched his tail wave around behind him; my mind began to wander to ideas of what that tail could do to me. His gray skin was radiated with heat, but not only that, he radiated sex.
"So?" I heard him say, bringing me out of my promiscuous thoughts. "What do you think? Do you like what you see? Can you honestly see yourself with me?"
I knew what I had to say, I had to say yes. But honestly, if I wasn't as strong-willed, I'd be on my knees right now, worshiping him and damn near begging him to fuck me. "Moranna?" He said with a smirk,
"Huh?" I asked, finally coming out of my haze, "Oh, right, yeah, you look great." He chuckled to himself, before taking my hand and pulled me towards a room. "Are you going to tell me who I'm meeting now?" I ask,
"Yeah, I suppose so." He says, "You're about to meet my best friend, but, he's not only that," I raise a brow at his response, "he's also my boyfriend."
A boyfriend? But, you just married me. What the hell?
"I know what you must be thinking." Beleth says, "Why did I choose to marry you when I'm dating someone else?" I'd be lying to myself if I hadn't thought about having two lovers, but I don't know if that's the case.
"Maybe a little." I say,
"Well, it's because the second we saw you, we instantly fell in love with you." His words confused me,
"What do you mean?" I asked, "He's seen me before?"
"I should let him explain." He tells me, opening the door and laying in the bed was another demon. My assumption, this is the boyfriend.
"Babe," Beleth said as he entered the room, "meet my wife, Moranna. Moranna, this is my boyfriend." I went to shake his hand but then...
"Oh sweet mother of God..." I heard them both laugh at me and the boyfriend got up from the bed, his giant member standing at full attention,
"Actually, the name's Voxon, but you can call me Vox."
This is going to be interesting.
