Goenka Mansion - Engagement Day
The Goenka mansion is buzzing with activity as the family prepares for Anushka and Abhimanyu's engagement ceremony. The decorations are elegant, with strings of marigold flowers and fairy lights adorning the entrance and the grand hall. The aroma of freshly prepared delicacies fills the air, and the sound of classical music playing softly in the background adds to the festive atmosphere. Kairav, the ever-dutiful elder brother, is moving through the house, ensuring every detail is perfect.*
Kairav: (Walking through the main hall, inspecting the decorations) "Make sure these flowers are fresh. They need to look perfect. And adjust those lights; they're too dim.
A decorator quickly makes the adjustments as Kairav moves to the food area, where chefs are bustling about.
Kairav: (To the head chef) "Is everything on the menu being prepared on time? We can't afford any delays."
Head Chef: "Yes, sir. Everything is on schedule. The starters will be ready in an hour, and the main course will follow soon after."
Kairav: "Excellent. Make sure the presentation is top-notch."
He moves on to the seating area, where family members are adding final touches to the arrangements. He spots Suhasini overseeing the placement of the chairs.
Kairav: "Badimaa, is everything alright here?"
Suhasini: (Smiling) "Yes, beta. The seating is perfect. But make sure the gifts for the Birla family are placed prominently."
Kairav: "Of course, Badimaa. I'll handle it."
Kairav then heads to the stage area where the engagement ceremony will take place. He finds Manish and Swarna discussing the setup with the event coordinator.
Kairav: "Dadu, Dadi, is the stage ready? We need it to be flawless for Anushka and Abhimanyu."
Manish: "Everything looks good, Kairav. Just make sure the sound system is checked. We don't want any glitches during the ceremony."
Kairav: "I'll check it right away."
Swarna places a hand on Kairav's shoulder.
Swarna: "You've done an amazing job, Kairav. Anushka is lucky to have you as her brother."
Kairav: (Smiling warmly) "Anything for my sister, Dadi. She deserves the best."
As Kairav continues his rounds, he sees Anushka standing by the window, looking both excited and nervous. He walks over to her.
Kairav: "How are you feeling, Anushka? Everything's almost ready."
Anushka: (Smiling but with a hint of anxiety) "I'm a bit nervous, Bhai. It's such a big day."
Kairav:"There's nothing to be nervous about. Abhimanyu is a great guy, and today is all about celebrating you. Just relax and enjoy every moment."
Anushka hugs Kairav tightly.
Anushka: "Thank you for everything, Bhai. I don't know what I'd do without you."
Kairav: (Hugging her back) "You'll never have to find out. I'm always here for you. Now go and get ready."
Anushka nods and starts to head upstairs. She stops and turns back to Kairav.
Anushka: "Bhai, I want to wear Mom's lehenga for the engagement. The light purple glitter one."
Kairav's eyes soften with emotion.
Kairav:"That's a beautiful choice, Anushka. I'm sure Mom would be so happy. Go tell Badimaa, and she'll help you with it."
