THIRD YEAR | 1993

THALIA WAS GRATEFUL THAT
she wasn't in the infirmary for long as she had promised Fred and George that she would support them during their Quidditch game.

Though Thalia was still slightly dazed, she managed to get herself out onto the stands, sitting in between Collete and Daphne.

"I don't know why we're out here, watching the match when we can't even see what's going on." Collete voiced her thoughts on seeing the match on such a stormy day. "I can't even see the goals, never mind what's actually happening."

"We promised the boys we would support them." Daphne reminded the girls, and Hermione sat beside her, nodding her head in agreement

"Correction, you promised your boyfriend you would support him. I, however, made no such promise." Collete corrected the brunette. "And we can still support them from the warmth of the castle. It's not like we'll actually be watching the game from here."

"Don't be so dramatic, Collete. We can see the goals perfectly fine from here." Daphne rolled her eyes at her friend.

"Excuse me, not all of us have the eyes of an owl in the dark." Collete huffed as she crossed her arms.

Thalia held back a smile as she listened to her two friends bickering.
The curly-haired girl adjusted her coat to try and shelter her better from the intense rain.

"Look! Here they come!" Hermione shouted over the sound of both the two girls' bickering and the sound of the heavy rain.

The two girls both stopped their bickering as they both began cheering and shouting in encouragement.

Thalia grinned and joined in on cheering for her friends.

...

As the match went on, the rain started falling heavier, Thalia was regretting not having gone to her dorm to get a coat as her woolen jersey was now satched and doing nothing to keep her warm.

The umbrella that herself and Daphne were sharing was long gone as the wind had pulled it out of Daphne's grip. Though the brunette was much more fortunate as she had been given Fred's coat before the game to protect her from the harsh weather.

"Go, Harry!" Hermione cheered as she leaned against the railing.

"Merlin Thalia, you're shaking the whole bench." Ronald spoke from beside Hermione.

"Really? I didn't notice." Thalia shivered, clutching onto her arms in a futile attempt to keep warm.

"I'm so so sorry, Thalia. I feel absolutely awful." Daphne apologized as she offered to share the coat she was given. Thalia rejected the offer with a smile, she didn't want her friend to have to share the coat she was given and get soaked herself all because she was too out of her head to stop by her dorm and get a coat for herself.
