Chapter 10

Miranda stared blankly at the screen of the ultrasound machine and silent fall into the room the only sound you could hear was a strong heartbeat echoing across the walls. Time seemed to stand still and she felt like the world was about to hate her more than it has already. For years they tried for kids and nothing happened. During her residency she got pregnant with Tuck and she had to out her life and career on pause to raise her child. They did try again after Tuck but nothing happened and here she was years later expecting again. She didn't know whether she should be happy or not. From the looks of it seemed as like she had been pregnant for quite some time now and the baby was nearly fully build.

"How far??" She asked Arizona who was helping her out after she fainted during surgery.

"Well from the looks of it , it seemed like you are 24 weeks pregnant Bailey" Arizona chimed happy for her.

"So I was happy this whole time and didn't know anything about it. What kind of mother am I??" She questioned herself loud enough for Arizona to hear her and she put away her things held her friend's hands and said.

" You are a great mother Bailey things like these happen. Woman become pregnant and are not aware of it till the last minute where they pop up. That doesn't mean you are a bad mother. As long as you were taking care of your body nothing will happen to you baby" she comforted her.

"All those cravings, short temper, vomiting, tiredness and headaches I should have known those were the signs. Tucker told me about it and I didn't put my mind into it much becouse I struggle with getting pregnant and didn't want to get into some argument about my fertility. What would have happened if I didn't find out and something bad happened to my baby??" She asked tears falling from her eyes. She should have known. She saw the body changes and didn't do anything about it. Arizona assured her that everything will be fine and the baby is perfectly fine.

"Dr Bailey the chief said he will like to have a word with you" April said as she saw her coming out the bathroom. Miranda groaned and huffed at what she had just said. She hasn't seen been or head from him since that hospital meeting her doctor stunt happened which was months back. She didn't have to put two and two to figure out he was avoiding her and was pretty good at it. Miranda went to his office and knocked and she was told to come in.

She took a sit that she was showed to and they sat there staring at each other. God he has missed her so much. She looked to be more glowing and beautiful than before. She has gained weight which went to all right places. He could see her breast were big than before and he licked his lips absence mindedly. He pulled himself together when she said. "Am sure you didn't call me in here for us to stare at each other Dr Warren"

"Ohh yeah am sorry about that it's just that you look different....not in a bad way you more beautiful and I.... nevermind that" he stuttered and she blushed looking down at her hands. He has noticed she had some changes and she find it cute. Her hormones were driving her crazy she started feeling hot and felt craving him.

"Thank you Chief" she said still blushing.

"Well let me not waste your time. I had what happened in the OR today and wanted to ask if you okay " he said being professional.

"Yes am fine Sir. I was just dehydrated nothing more. I was taken care of and now ready to go back to work" she lied and they went back to staring.

"Daddy I forgot my..." Milanie busted into Ben's office and she stopped talking stood there looking at the situation in front of her. Ben and Miranda turned to look at her.

She and Ben had moved on their life and had been doing pretty well by themselves like before. She wondered why she was here. She had out the thought in her mind that she doesn't want her and she was pretty well with it. At first it was hard to accept because sometimes she still yearned for her love but she had to tell herself that she was on her own and her father was a father and mother figure in her life.
