Samuel's Part

At Terry's Graduation Day, his best friend Samuel, with High Honors, had to do a speech.

(Note: We're keeping this story short and simple so we will skip the actual speech)

In the middle of Samuel's speech, Terry started to sob. Terry looked back on the other moments where he kept failing, slowly thinking he will NEVER make it. Terry covered his face with his toga cap and started to cry. He wasn't feeling jealousy and envy, he was happy for them, but was he happy for himself? No.

"Huhuhuu!!" He started to cover his face and look away. It was not loud and not everyone heard him. He then started crying like Ruby from that once scene from BFDIA 4. It was loud.

Miles, Terry's other best friend, looked at him and said,
Miles: "Are you okay?"
Terry: "I-I don't think so."
Miles: "See your medal? Your diploma? Your Honors?"
Terry: "Yes... I-I see them."
Miles: "These will make your parents proud, in fact, they are already proud of you! These simple things make your parents prouder than they ever will be."
Terry: "T-thank you s-so m-m-much!"
Miles: "Remember your first time doing karaoke and got a 97? Remember when you made it into the Top 25 in Make A Cake? When you made a decent article in the Journalism club? All these achievements made your parents happy!"
Terry: "T-those were some of my g-greatest achievements in m-my life. Thank you, Miles."

Terry started to calm down, and when Samuel ended his speech with "We Did It!", Terry didn't say anything, but still had some tears run down his face. "Good Job Samuel, I'm proud of you...", muttered Terry. He didn't cheer, he didn't shout, but still though, he continued to pout. Not a good ending for Terry.

Here's a note: Terry did not make it into the Top 10, but his friend from another section, Jovee, did make it. Terry was still sad and thought his victories aren't adequate for praise (even though his mom was proud of him).
