9. Missing?

In the morning, I started leaving the house.. But Noah called me from behind, "In case you are wondering, we will head to the Amusement park that held every year. "

"I don't care! " I lied when I actually cared.

"Sure, you don't.. Grumpy!" Noah smirked at me.

I want to wipe that stupid smirk off his face.

But I didn't reply and left.

When I reached my office, my secretary instantly came and gave me the briefing of the meetings to attend today.

But I couldn't focus...

"Damn.. Aaron.. Just have a fricking grip on yourself... " I scolded myself.

I decided to busy myself in work but my thoughts made their way to Ariana.

"May I come in, sir?"

I was so lost in her thoughts that I absentmindedly replied, "Yes, Ariana".

Just after that, I face palmed myself..

I look at my secretary who has his both eye brows raised at me.. And when I raised my one eyebrow at him.. He dropped his gaze to the floor..

Just like Ariana..

Ugggghh.. Not again.. Damn it!

I looked at the files on my table..no work has been done..and It's 11:45 am. I shook my head.

It's all Noah's fault... If he had not been with Ariana, then nothing of this have happened.

"Yeah, you are definitely not jealous, man.. " My subconscious mocked me.

I shut it and asked the secretary to cancel all my meetings for today. I won't be able to focus anyways.

I wanted to be at that amusement park.. But how?

What would I say when I myself declined it in the morning.

And Noah will definitely give me his, "told you so" look.

I will have to think of some believable excuse..

Suddenly I had an idea and started searching for the file that needs Noah's signature.

This file is due for another two weeks.. But Noah doesn't need to know that. I smirked.

I grabbed the file and left the office.

After reaching there, I called Noah.. And asked him to come outside.

I put my poker face on so that he won't be suspicious.

"Missed me, bestie? " He asked while coming outside.

"You wish! " I retort back. " I just want you to sign this file.. It's important."

"Oh really! Let me see which important file is this that made you come personally. " His eyes full of mischief.

Oh no! He would recognize the file if he sees it...

" Oh.. Um.. No need.. Just sign the file and get back to the twins. " I tried to grab the file back and only opened the page to be signed.

"If you say so.. " He signed it.

"Alright then, you guys enjoy. " I turned back pretending to get back to my car.
