"I'd thought you were going to raise hell with Orochimaru." Sasuke said to Naruto. He was leaning against a tree trunk, staring at the blond Uzumaki – who was standing motionlessly, with his face looking above.

With how ticked off the blond had been when they met, Sasuke had really thought that the battle was going to a bloody one. But there hadn't been much difference in the way Naruto fought. The blond hasn't always been the one who liked long battles and throwing jutsus in all directions. Always direct to the point and nothing more. When he was using his mouth, then things were a little different.

"You make it sound as if I'm very much used to violence and have a thing for brutality." Naruto responded.

Sasuke shrugged. "Despite saying otherwise, you have always been brutal, in both your actions and words."

Naruto said nothing to this. "Let us move back to Konoha. I want to be there by the time Sai returns with a certain Uzumaki." The blond said before turning towards the direction of the Hidden Leaf.

It was a good moment – no, it would be a good moment when he does see another redhead walking into the Uzumaki Compound. Now, they could think about recreating the Uzumaki clan, return to the glory days of the once peace loving clan of energetic people. It was truly a pity that the clan had been done injustice by the nations who felt threatened by their power. It wasn't a thought that Naruto really wanted to dwell on. Not because of the thought of vengeance.

Still, it was just a couple of members and there was no way Nagato was going to be living anywhere close to them. The man was focused on peace and peace only. It would be a good thing if he could leave an Uzumaki child behind. That child would certainly be blessed with power. As far as things stand, there would only be three of them, excluding Yugao. She wasn't Uzumaki nor was she married to him.

She would probably think about it, but that wasn't a thought Naruto had when things were like this.

"You must be happy knowing that you can finally see another Uzumaki..." Sasuke said. "If we start well, we may have some influence in what happens in the Hidden Leaf. The Uchiha will grow strong again, that is certain. When that happens, we will not allow ourselves to be pushed back into a corner once again."

"There are reasons to be happy, but don't expect to see me grinning in all corners. Mother will be most excited..." That was something Naruto could smile about. "If you want to influence Konoha's politics, you must learn the art and play a role, Sasuke. Being powerful doesn't guarantee you a position nor does it give you an easy pathway into the Hokage's tower. Konoha's people love you, but would they allow you to become, Hokage? That is something you need to think about. It isn't only those in Konoha that influence who becomes Hokage... there are external forces as well.

"We you don't have to worry much about the external forces that could sway things. I used to travel with the Sandaime when he handled some diplomatic talks with those who rule over the Fire Country. I laid the foundations back then and I will reap the fruits soon."

Listening to Naruto, Sasuke concluded that Naruto has been playing with the dark forces that twist people's minds long ago when he was still in the academy. When they became shinobi, the blond rarely went out with the Sandaime but before then, it had happened. As far as Sasuke was told, the blond played 'games' with the Third Hokage and even trained with him on some occasions.

Well, Itachi had warned him; Naruto's greatest weapon wasn't his power but it was his mind. He certainly doesn't flaunt his power around but did go around twisting other people's thoughts to suit his wishes. This was the person he had to deal with.

Sasuke was glad he was warned and he wasn't a stupid person.

"You don't have much interest in Konoha, do you? Would it be wrong to say that the village is just a place you stay in but with no emotional attachment?"
