    With Mellisa and Scott:

Scott stormed up the stairs in anger, his mind was distant with thoughts and his shoulder cold. His ears rang making everything go silent while his head hurt. Maybe from his thoughts or from anger. He slammed the door open as he threw himself on his bed. He stared at his hands assuming he would've lost his composure by now but he had it under control. Ever since becoming a true alpha he was unsure of himself every single second. He began to think, think about Stiles' room and his mind. Why hadn't he known any of this sooner? Why did he always say the wrong thing? Why couldn't he-?

Suddenly and without much warning his mom had opened the door slowly and stood in the doorway. Her arms crossed as she spoke calmly, "Hey, what's wrong?" She slowly walked in and sat next to her son as she looked at his eyes with so much concern and care.

Scott sighed angrily as he began to raise his voice,"What isn't wrong?" He muttered as he took a deep breath and sighed. His mind still racing with many doubtful thoughts.

Melissa sighed and smiled at Scott yet her voice was stern, trying to get Scott to open up. "What is it about all of this that has you upset?" She remains seated on his bed as she folds her arms and raises her eyebrows awaiting an explanation.

Scott just looked over at his mom with a heartfelt expression of guilt. He was still frustrated but he knew he couldn't keep it bottled. "It's just- I thought I knew Stiles like the back of my hand but I was wrong...I don't know him at all." He almost choked up when he began to speak. He couldn't come to terms with himself, not right now anyways.

"What makes you think you don't know him?" Melissa asks confused but she keeps her voice steady and stern. She has always had her own doubts about being a good mom, especially when Scott told her about the whole wolf thing.

Scott glanced over at her piercing gaze of confusion. He averted his eyes as he began to speak holding his hands together to try to control himself. "Me and Lydia went through all of his bad memories when I suddenly realized something. I realized how much he doesn't tell me, how much he hides."

Melissa sighed and reached for her son's hand. "Everyone has secrets...even Stiles. He probably didn't want to worry you." She smiled warmly as she held Scott's hand for comfort. Not just her sons but her own as well.

He looked at her with a mix of conflicting emotions. Still, millions of thoughts and none that made sense. "Stiles is always there for me, yet he thinks I wouldn't do the same? I could've been there for him..." Scott trials off in his own train of thoughts as he looks over at his bulletin board in his room. He pays most attention to the photo of him and Stiles from when they were in middle school. Stiles still had his buzz cut and a jacket he wore everyday and barely washed. Meanwhile Scott had longer hair with his usual outfit consisting of jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers. But those aren't the details that stood out to Scott, what really stood out was the gleam in his friend's eyes. The life that had been sucked out of him currently was there in that photo, frozen in time.

Melissa tapped Scott on the shoulder, startling him and sending his body jerking forward while sending his mind to focus back on what's going on. He then turned back to face his mom. "Maybe he didn't want help? You know Stiles, he's very determined." She tried to assure Scott but no matter what he would always have a doubt in mind.

"But what if in doing that...I hurt him more? I've been so selfish and naive. Stiles has always been there for me, helping me even when I never did the same." Scott looked at his mom with eyes longing for answers. He tapped his foot out of anxiousness for the answer he was going to get.

His mom smiled to reassure him as she began to speak, "If you were 'hurting Stiles' he would've left by now." She smiles and chuckles softly at her owner remark.

Scott gave Melissa a look of confusion and discomfort before continuing his thoughts.
"When me and Lydia went inside his mind he didn't seem too eager to talk to me...If that was even him."

His mom looked away troubled with this whole situation. But suddenly she turned her head back around to do a double check on his words, "What was the last part?" She inquired, looking over at Scott with raised eyebrows and crossed arms.

Scott sighed and repeated it louder, "I said if that was even him." He stood up and slowly walked around trying to calm his nerves.

"What do you mean?" She asked curiously with confusion. She stood up to match Scott's energy and attempt to reach out and comfort him.

"When we thought we got through to Stiles it turned out to be The Nogitsune, so now I'm unsure if it was really him. What kind of friend can't tell apart an evil spirit and a sarcastic person." He crosses his arms and continually taps one foot. He looks over at his mom awaiting some kind of reassuring response.

"That's exactly what he wants you to think." She walks over to Scott a serious expression on her face to fit with the stern tone of her voice. "He's manipulated your friend and now he's manipulating you." She says sternly and she places her hand on his shoulders. She gives him a look that would make any grown adult scared but to a teen it's a motherly love. It's a stare so heartfelt that you can't help but smile.

Scott ultimately smiles a weak smile before turning back to a frown. "How can we be sure-?" He stops suddenly when his mom interjects.

"Isn't he a trickster or something?" She says only half confidently, not totally sure of the exact term. She places a hand on her hip and begins to speak seriously, "His purpose is to trick people, not just Stiles. If he can get to you that means he already has Stiles in the palm of his hand." Melissa looks at Scott with a sense of determination that's Stiles would usually have.

Scott took in every word very carefully and really thought about it. His mom was right, Scott was playing right into The Nogitsune's games. He doesn't have time to worry about himself being a bad friend in the past because that thought will always linger in his mind. He needs to worry about being a good friend to Stiles now. He sighs and ultimately smiles as he looks up at his mom, "You're right. I should stop worrying about myself and be there for Stiles." His breathing slows down as does the tapping of his foot.

Melissa smiles, unsure with if she helped or not. She's aware Scott didn't fully open up but she's hopeful this interaction will be enough before we get Stiles back. She begins to walk towards the door before turning back to face Scott. "Are you gonna leave the rest of your pack hanging?" She smiles before motioning to the door. Scott Smiles and begins to walk down the stairs with his mom behind him.

They both went down stairs, Scott got a slight glare from Lydia before his attention was turned to something more important...Stiles. But it wasn't because of the conversation him and his mother had, no. It was because his hand was beginning to twitch, which meant the Kanima venom was wearing off fast.
