Katherine understood that her relationship with her older brother would never be the same again. It seems that the last time they had a normal conversation as loving siblings was when he was ten and she was nine years old. Then Vince began puberty, he convinced himself that continuing to communicate well with his younger sister did not correspond to his new status as a bully and he began to avoid her.

Even several times, to make it more convincing that he was not some kind of homely gentle boy, but a brutal teenage guy, Vince publicly bullied his sister. He would «accidentally» push her into the lockers when he passed by, then hit her hands, forcing her to drop her notebooks on the floor and even pointedly ignored her if Murphy addressed him, continuing the conversation with his friends as if nothing had happened.

For several more years, Katherine tried to establish a relationship with Vince, tried to ignore all his coldness and bullying, swallowed her pride and continued trying to establish communication. She missed him so much, but it clearly wasn't mutual.

Schneider liked the image of the «bad boy» so much that he has stuck to it to this day, completely excluding not only his younger sister from his life, but also their mother Leslie.

He even started a relationship, although it's more of a meaningless summer romance than a full-fledged love relationship, with her then-new friend Liv.

Murphy had let Vince go a long time ago, accepting his absence from her life, but knowing that he had never visited her during the time she was in a hospital bed caused great pain.

Katherine's mother, Leslie, who works as a doctor in the same damn hospital where her daughter was brought in poor condition, also did not come to check on her, worry about her daughter's health, do her job as a mother at least once in her life. Murphy accepted her absence from childhood, when she learned the story of why her mother was so distant and, one might say, traumatized.

Stu Mаcher.

Because of what happened in 1996, Leslie's parents had to sell their house. Stu's sister herself couldn't afford to move out of Woodsboro, but to buy a house almost on the other side of town? Yes, of course. She even changed her last name, no longer wanting to be persecuted simply because of who her brother was.

In fact, there could have been more bullying and persecution. But then other Ghostfaces began to appear, all with their own motives, and no one cared about the relatives of the first Ghostfaces.

Murphy touched the layer of white medical bandages on her forehead with her fingertips and grimaced. Yes, her head was hit hard on the table, there was even a small bleeding wound on her forehead, but there was no concussion.

— Hey, baby.

Katherine flinches and turns her head so quickly that a whiplash could be heard.

— Amber! I'm sorry, I didn't see you come in.

Amber smiled at her girlfriend, having already put a bouquet of her favorite flowers on the bedside table and sat down in an armchair, pulling it close enough to the bed to take the girl lying there by the hand.

— Don't worry about it. I've only been sitting here for about five minutes, you know, just looking at you and thinking, «Damn, what a beautiful girl I got».

— Don't exaggerate. — Murphy was embarrassed and Freeman leaned over to kiss her on her reddened cheek, and only then left a firm kiss on her lips.

— How's Tara? — Katherine asked, shifting a little on the bed. A flash of pain went to her side, where the Ghostface had wounded her when she pushed the younger Carpenter away from the trajectory of the knife.
